Marks & Spencer, London

If you love a fantastic collaboratively produced product then look no further than M&S right now.  This one, in collaboration with the super model Jourdan Dunn and a great scheme produced by www.harlequin-design.com is quite a corker.  The repetition of these cubes in a gravitational format carry the lil' LonDunn graphics which communicate that the brand is taking a much more conceptual approach to their schemes rather than adopting the usual style we've seen over time however this makes the windows look more like a department store than the usual M&S and this is a much welcomed relief.  Great to see this brand looking so good and energetic.

Louis Vuitton, London

http://www.retailstorewindows.com

Most of the luxury brands around town have been celebrating 100 years of Vogue.  Here at Louis Vuitton naturally no expense has been spared with its digital candles dutifully flickering away forming the background to their luxury products.  If only everyone had budgets like these guys do.  Can you imagine what the high street would look like?

Clarks, London

http://www.retailstorewindows.com

The presentation at Clarks just gets better and better.  The latest scheme appears as a curated collection of Butterflies and Insects as in the type of thing you might come across in a Natural Museum collection.  Historically, this type of collecting was very popular during the Victorian era (these ones are not real of course) in order to be studied by specialists.  In this magnificent radiating format this brand just couldn't look any more confident.  We're keeping our fingers crossed that this approach is working for the brand as it does look rather spectacular and is a much appreciated visual impact on the high street.

Moncler, London

http://www.retailstorewndows.com

This is one brands' scheme that we are so excited to share with you as we haven't seen a Moncler store in London previously and they always do such fun Visual Merchandising (remember the giant figure in the Paris store we showed you recently).  Here, references to under the Ocean with strangely styled Mermaids and Perspex waves is their inaugural scheme here at their new Old Bond street store.  We will be keeping a look out for the schemes here as they change and of course share with you accordingly.

Nike, London

Celebrating Nike 2016 Air Max day, the team at www.millingtonassociates.com have delivered this absolutely spectacular scheme at the fantastic Niketown here in central London.  The campaign revolved around Nike three Air Max designers Tinker Hatfield, Hiroshi Fujiwara and Mark Parker; each designer was responsible for launching a new Air Max zero shoe model.
In addition to the window scheme (image below), this installation involved the complete takeover of the ground floor space at Niketown and its transformation into a brightly coloured factory environment with multiple moving and interactive parts.   Further attractions were a Jason Markk sneaker cleaning service, and a static conveyor belt spiralling upwards to the ceiling in the impact zone to showcase the private Air Max collection of renowned collector Stevey Ryder.  Just staggering what these guys are doing right now.

Marks & Spencer, London

We have never included Marks & Spencer here previously, there was no agenda we promise although we do look for innovation and interesting schemes to include here otherwise we just become a brands' PR machine (or not) and this is not the point of www.retailstorewindows.com  However, we were struck by this latest scheme using giant neon lit fruits with the strap line Spirit of Summer.  We all know that this brand sells quality products even if it isn't somewhere we would necessarily normally shop ourselves (in fact the last time we did was pre-internet days - yes that long ago) however their latest scheme shouts 'confidence' and we all want a bit of that don't we? (as opposed to looking non committal in their offer. Maybe that's the reason why we've inadvertently given them a wide berth? Who Knows?).  From just one window scheme, this brand looks like one we would like to take a closer look at and we now may be more inclined to step over the threshold once again and take a closer look at what these guys are doing.  We are aware that its easy to sit behind our screens and poke fun at a brand but this one looks like its working so hard to win us back, it looks like a desirable department store (from the outside), the least we can do is take a closer look.  We did, will you?

Beautifully produced and exquisitely executed its no wonder that tourists are blocking these windows in order to take 'selfies' and be a part of the spectacle.  An out sized revolving articulated wooden hand is the main focal point here with the addition of smaller versions in a repetition and gravitational format.  This scheme is certainly currently the most exciting along Regent street right now and great to see such investment in exciting and innovative Visual Merchandising.

If you still haven't seen the amazing Body Studio at Selfridges, here's another snippet to whet your appetites.  The lovely team at www.elemental.co.uk have been working closely with the creative team at Selfridges on their incredible window displays which accompanied the launch of the department stores new Body Studio Department.  If you have been reading any of the free newspapers or travelling on the tube then you would have seen some of the incredible marketing too.
The team at www.elemental.co.uk produced a variety of the elements contained within the staggering run of windows along Oxford street including these incredible kinetic metal sculptures in varying concave and flat form consisting of Gold and Copper discs with beautifully detailed Chrome finished bases.  These pieces are stunning in themselves and in conjunction with the team at Selfridges create an enviable installation.

Joseph, London

Images Courtesy and Copyright Joseph

The latest concept at Joseph right now has been inspired by the Tribal trend which we've seen cropping up across a range of SS16 collections.
The Masai tribes people have inhabited the arid plains of the Serengeti for over 4 centuries and the colours and fantastically intricate details that they adorn themselves with represent their wonderful qualities; Beauty, strength and tradition.
Using the characteristics of the tribes dress codes, the team at Joseph have explored and developed these details further and looked at the strong sculptural shapes of their necklaces, head masks and carved African Art and how this then influenced 20th century Modern Art movements in Sculpture and Architectural forms.  Commissioning sculptural pieces in aged Bronze and stone and applying recreated organic thatched roofs as the window backdrop, this brand is looking as amazing as usual.
