Penhaligon's, London

We've mentioned on several occasions the difficulty in capturing the windows at this store and perhaps this scheme highlights even more why.  That said, we love these windows.  We think that the brand have used what appear to be Victorian cut-outs which seems to be their signature style but in conjunction with a bit of a Circus / funfair scheme.  Our images make this scheme look a bit messy but we promise they do look great in the 'flesh'.

Penhaligon's London

We had a slightly Deja Vu moment with this scheme as we initially couldn't work out whether we had seen it before or whether it was simply the use of the hot air balloon props.  It transpires that this scheme, or at least a version of this was installed in their windows this time last year.  There's nothing wrong of course with recycling props again, in fact we've even spotted props cropping up in the windows of Bergdorf Goodman over many years.   Given the current financial state of the UK and possibly everywhere else around the world this is a good strategy, however it might have been a good idea to respray them or change them in some way?  Just a thought.

Penhaligon's, London

These windows are not quite as chaotic as they may look in our images.  The store here has a curved front and therefore it is quite difficult to capture the schemes head on.  However, another little winner from this gorgeous brand with the launch of their Sports Car Club fragrance.  We're loving the outsized bottle props too.  Do check out their web pages as this fragrance sounds delicious.

Wow, how beautiful are these windows?  We happened to pass by a concession for this brand at Selfridges department store last week and they really do put a huge effort into their schemes as even their concession space looked amazing.  The store itself, here along Regent street is not huge but we bet these windows are a nightmare to work with.  The team however really do deliver as this scheme looks stunning.

On our constant search for all things creative we happened upon the new scheme from this brand.  It looks like this is the future.  Now, you should be able to scan the QR code below even from our image and it really is worth it.  Turn up that sound, unless you are working in a quiet office and enjoy.  This is really amazing and we particularly love the fish...!  Go on just try it.

If you don't know this store along Regent street then you are in for a treat.  Look how gorgeous this is.  We can imagine that these windows are an absolute nightmare to work with given their shape and form however what a beautiful scheme.  Ok, well we have seen hot air balloons used in windows previously, and we think the last time was at Louis Vuitton, however these are so beautifully executed and installed that we don't care.  These. Look. Great.

Penhaligon's London

We came across this scheme the other day at the brands' store just off Bond street.  Flickering away like its life depended on it, it certainly drew us in to take a closer look.  With a slight nod to something Dickensian and great cardboard engineering with added neon thrown in for good measure this scheme does look incredible when seen in 'life'; the slightly manic lighting here just cant be captured in a still image but does look incredible.

This was not an easy scheme to capture with their curvy windows although we do love these new graphics that the brand have recently installed with their neon highlited edges and illuminated strap lines.  Great product as always and if you are not familiar with them then do drop in as this stuff is perfect for this time of year.  A fragrant Adventure indeed.

What do we say about this scheme really?  It ticks all the Christmas boxes colour-wise and looks great.  Actually what we did love about this was the use of the tins here with the baubles beautifully stacked.  Some knackered old slightly rusty ones, the kind that looked like they've seen a bit of history, maybe had a secret life somewhere, perhaps a few affairs, now that would have been particularly gorgeous but maybe that's not the look the brand want.  Its just that we do.

With the promotion of their Iris Prima, Penhaligon's are propping this one with suspended ballet slippers.  Iris Prima.......Prima Ballerina.......Ballet slippers.  Clever stuff this.

Penhaligon's, London

I have to admit it, I do love out sized props in window schemes.  The kind of 'land of the giants' installations are always so much fun.  Penhaligon's  along Regent st. here in London have produced these out sized cotton reels with thread weaving its way through these giant needles within this scheme to communicate Satorial, the scent of Saville Row.  Recently at Decorex, here in London we could also see similar but with cable / rope reels being used within Interiors - trend?  Who knows.  Anyway, a great scheme from these guys, a variety of which can be seen all around town right now.

Penhaligon's, London

I know very little about this brand other than what is available on their website. I know that the product is beautiful quality and packaged exquisitely however I am not sure that this is reflected in the presentation? While viewing the latest scheme in one of their London store's I could help feeling that this scheme doesn't communicate the luxurious feeling that the rest of this brand simply oozes. I'm all for cardboard engineering in the right retailer but really not at this level. Cardboard hot air balloons are placed as if carrying the product with a Blue and White Gingham fabric covered floor. It does of course say Summer and reminisces about picnics etc. etc., but perhaps this could have been produced in a much more aspirational and sophisticated way?
