Moschino, London

We've probably been a bit harsh with the schemes at this brand as right now they are still producing some of the more interesting schemes out there on the high street.  There have been a few odd installations and some perhaps some have lacked the quality we normally expect to see from a luxury brand however they are very productive and detailed with their work and for that we are thankful.  It still remains a mystery to us who actually buys their products although they are clearly making a profit we guess and obviously support the visual elements in their windows which is fantastic.

Fendi, London

There's a bit of a Moschino vibe happening at this brand at the moment.  Large and out-sized props has been Moschino's domain for a number of years however currently this brand have also picked up the baton and produced their own version of land-of-the-giants-type-props with the use of these larger then life handbags.  Or rather, bits of them.  Naturally this has been executed exquisitely as one would expect although perhaps the narrative might have been a bit deeper or at least rather less obvious?

Loro Piana, London

Its been a while since we included this brand here and their store along Sloane Street and what a great scheme this is too.  Well the backdrop anyway.  Recreating a drone-like or at least an aerial view of a beach scene is Loro Piana which has been beautifully created and implemented.  Our only other thought is (and which might be a bit negative) is that the product itself isn't very well presented.  A good steam would have helped.  However, while many of us will probably not be travelling far this year this scheme at least momentarily takes us on a much needed bit of visual escapism.

Wednesday 28 July 2021

Smythson, London

This is another brand who's windows will be featuring in our book out later this year as they have produced some fantastic schemes at this site as well as their previous one across the road.  The current scheme is probably not quite as dynamic as their previous schemes, no doubt due to the on-going circumstances however we are pleased that they have at least got something visual in their windows anyway.

Patek Philippe, London

We're always so pleased that this brand make an enormous effort with their windows.  In fact, we've included one of their schemes in the latest edition of our book Visual Merchandising for Fashion due out in November this year.  We do however tend to be out and about to capture these schemes during the evening when all is quiet and therefore they are missing the all important product.  This is completely understandable given the price point of course.  We're assuming that the colourful backdrop is based on their watches to set the scene in front of which are these beautifully produced structures.

Monday 26 July 2021

Harvey Nichols, London

If you feel the need for an uplifting experience then get yourself across to Knightsbridge and visit the windows at this fabulous brand.  Just look at these gorgeous windows.  Look and enjoy.  We're huge fans of the work that these guys produce and absolutely love their style.  The colours, the styling, it all really.  Are we gushing?  Anyway, you get the idea.  We have limited space here so we will upload the full run of windows on our instagram (link below) and an edited amount on our facebook page (link also below).

Sunday 25 July 2021

Louis Vuitton, London

One of the amazing things about living in this incredible city is that not only do we have what would be the equivalent of a Flagship store for this brand but also a range of their smaller stores too.  With that comes more variety in their window schemes.  We've included their Maison store along Bond street on many occasions but of course we also have the smaller store along Sloane street.  And just look at this little beauty.  Certainly worthy of a bit of retail worship we think.

Saturday 24 July 2021

Mulberry, London

This must be the first time we've actually managed to capture the windows here without the security grilles obscuring the background.  This brand appear to have been riding the pandemic wave particularly well and the schemes just keep on coming.  This is quite an interesting installation.  Ok, well, abstract schemes tend to mean that brands have nothing much to say however the shapes and forms are so interesting and of course the fabric used is so sumptuous that we cant help but just love it.

Friday 23 July 2021

Hogan, London

We really do like this brand and their schemes.  Even though the windows at this store in the Knightsbridge area of town are relatively small they always produce very high quality installations.  Ok, well there is no narrative which we are aware of around the product here and it would be great to see the kind of approach which Tods do with their schemes however it is great to see that they actually care about their windows nonetheless.

Thursday 22 July 2021

Burberry, London

We happened to be in Knightsbridge the other day and came across this store.  Wow.  Just. Look. At. This.  We had noticed that their Bond street site was closed for renovations although hadn't realised that they had opened a brand new store on this site (which has been boarded up for months).  What a transformation.  We are marvelling at this really because the brand looked so good anyway but to completely change its direction takes some talent.  We're in awe.

Wednesday 21 July 2021

Moncler, London

Rock Climbing appears to be the theme here at this brands' store along Sloane street.  We've seen this scrolling text scheme for some time now although of course yet again we cant be too choosey given the circumstances.  The shade of Green applied here with the small figures however are a great edition and nice to see some props added to their installation too.  As still images don't really do digital schemes much justice we've included a short video below for you too.

Tuesday 20 July 2021

Dior, London

We were quite surprised to see that this window scheme had changed quite rapidly recently.  Perhaps the previous scheme was only a quick promotion, who knows?  Anyway this installation is quite a difficult one to talk about as it is rather simple.  Giant buttons on wheels.  There you go.

Monday 19 July 2021

The Pink Bear, London

You may remember this store as the former Victorinox site along Bond street.  Sadly, another casualty of the pandemic (we assume so anyway).  They never really did very much visually so we didn't include them very often although we really never forgave them for including live Fish in their windows in 2012.   With the growing number of empty store units across town many of which have simply covered their windows with blank vinyl, one of two witty ones and then there's this one.  The Pink Bear is not actually a brand but an installation advertising the space as a Pop up.  Great to see that some spaces are generating something visual in their windows while they wait for a new owner.

Sunday 18 July 2021

Fenwick, London

We really do feel for this brand.  They were on the path to looking so good re. their windows and while this scheme certainly isn't the worst out there it does appear to lack the love and care that we know this brand can achieve.  Ok, yes we are in terrible times and money is no doubt very tight however this is their flagship store and we would hope to see something produced at least with some care and style or better still, something clever such as a notice to say that they have no budget to produce a big scheme and just be honest.   Vinyls are also inexpensive.  The main sign for this building also needs a bit of love.  Fick innit.
