We had absolutely no idea that this brand had such an interesting history and that they have been around for so long.  Originally established in 1917 the brand is now on its fourth generation as a family owned business - no easy task to keep going that long for sure.  Fantastic also to see such creativity coming out of the other cities across the UK too with great giant head prop and cable and their traditional notebooks used in this repetition format.

Smythson, London

Bond street is looking as glamorous as usual although there are a few empty units along the street as its all change for brands like this.  Opening their new store (and presumably a bigger site), Smythson have just moved across the road opposite Bally.  There are a few new brands moving in from their other sites around town too so we will keep you posted as and when they open.

Dior, London

We've noticed that there are a large amount of digital screens in windows at the moment; essentially its just another version of a large format graphic of course.  While the visual media for digital screens are not the cheapest to produce there is a certain longevity in their use and we guess as everyone is squeezing out every last drop of cash from their schemes it appears to be the way forward - or at least one way.  We do prefer a bit of theatre ourselves although perhaps these types of schemes are a bit more sustainable which can only be a good thing.

Gant, London

We seem to have viewed this scheme in Copenhagen earlier in the year although of course you can never have enough White shirts we suppose?  Still, a slightly odd choice of product for this time of year given that we are already in the Autumn / Winter season here in London although used in this repetition format it does of course make quite a statement.

Hackett, London

Hackett have been on our radar for quite some time now and if you want to see a great example of menswear looking interesting then look no further.  Their latest installation, 'Capital Life' is a great narrative and yet perfectly masculine, realistic and seasonal.  We particularly love the Fox carrying the bag up the faux staircase; these guys do have a wonderful sense of humour.

Massimo Dutti, London

For such a large global brand installing quite complex installations is no easy task to coordinate and Massimo Dutti as usual have pulled off another interesting scheme.  We have seen strand-style schemes quite a lot previously and remember the pinboard thread Art craft of the 70's very well , however the effort is always appreciated.

It is so interesting to see what is happening in Visual Merchandising around the world, but also to confirm that there as lots of high quality schemes out there beyond the usual capitals of the world.  To make such effort takes time and money of course however it is very much appreciated.  At the phenomenal Ashti, in conjunction with www.artevetrinaproject.it their latest installation looks particularly luxurious with their references to the 1920's.

Bally, London

It seems that collaborations are still the road to take if you want to invigorate your schemes with a different direction.  This collaboration between Bally and Swizz Beatz is great fun and fantastic to see this brand doing something different and relevant.  Do check out Bally's website too, particularly the Bally x Swizz Beatz area and if you are in a quiet office be sure to turn the volume up on your computer...;o)

Lagerfeld, London

We adore these shapely street signs in Paris in their usual Blue colour and great to see them being brought into this scheme, albeit on a much larger scale of course.  The scheme itself in Black and White with highlights of Gold drew us across Regent street the other evening to take a closer look.  All exquisitely produced of course as one would expect from this uber brand.

Fenwick, London

This is an interesting development at this brand.  If you are familiar with the Good Italian short films I, II and III then you will instantly recognise where this scheme is coming from (you can actually view the videos via YouTube).  Beautiful cinematography which although represents a lifestyle most of us can only ever imagine it is great to see the vibe of these movies being picked up at this store along Bond Street.

Moschino, London

As regular reader of this site know, we are not a huge fan of this brand, however, hands up, they do produce regular schemes which allows us to include them as often as we do.  The product is not our preference although they do what they do and we guess make money from it.  We don't often see many people wearing it however?

Ferrari, Global

We haven't seen the use of Lenticulars in store windows for a while however here at Ferrari, launching their collaboration between Scuderia Ferrari and Movado Group, the team from www.artevetrinaproject.it have yet again woven their magic into the store windows at this premium brand.  The lenticular technology at the centre of the scheme allows the passerby to view this amazing product from 180 degrees and if this is the kind of desirable product that gets your pulse racing then do swing by a store near to you soon to take a closer look.

Ermenegildo Zegna, London

As we were capturing this scheme the team were moving in to (presumably) change the windows so this is is another one we wanted to share before it is lost forever.  There's a great bit of clever British humour injected into this scheme with, of course, Italian style.  Perfectly executed as usual from this amazing brand.
