Ermenegildo Zegna, London

We really do like this simple but crafty element in the windows at this brand right now.  Of course, they are still peddling the old 'we've planted lots of trees' stuff (yeah we get it) although clearly the sustainability aspect is important to at least whoever is in control right now.  The knitted and undulating structures look great however.

While this isnt the most exciting installation we have seen from this brand the product looks incredible.  While we are unlikely to find ourselves skiing anytime soon, if we were, how wonderful to have this collection of gorgeous products.  In the meantime, there is quite an unusual sculptural piece just inside the store which we've included here in the image down below.

We've followed this brand all the way through yet another year and, just as with this scheme, they produce some wonderful work.  For this season the brand have instaled a slowly revolving globe in one of their windows, the details below are of what is inside.  We've missed not being able to see New York again this year although the interior of the globe reminds us of some of the amazing visual merchandising we've seen at places such as ABC (our absolute favourite interiors store).

We've always enjoyed the schemes at this brand and just for reference we did capture this scheme a few weeks ago.  The team were still implementing it on one of our rounds so we had to wait a few weeks before we were out and about again to capture these.  With their Reset, What Makes a Man, retailoring the modern man strap line the brand are absolutely capturing the vibe out there right now.  It is time for a reset and hopefully the paths we now take will be far more beneficial to all.

Highlighting their High Performance Collection is this brand right now.  Essentially its a crease free product although there is a little more information on their website if you wanted to investigate further.  Its not the most exciting range of products although of course as always the quality is beautiful as one would expect.  The windows equally don't quite have the edge of their usual style although anything remotely visual is absolutely welcome right now.

As always this brand continues to deliver great schemes and naturally promote their amazing cause to save the forest.  The forest in question is a 100 square kilometre area in a place called Piedmont in the Alps.  Our only thought here however is that if you are trying to save a forest it might be a good idea not to actually chop bits off and put them in your windows across the world.  It is of course probably not the case that they did this although hopefully you can see how these things can be interpreted.

This brand always make such an effort with their schemes which are not only always so impressive but very much appreciated too.  They first appeared on our radar several years ago with their installation at the department store Harrods here in London and we've followed what they do ever since.  Currently their scheme appears to be a kind of reference to fibres / thread complete with reels and neon thrown in with the strap line What makes my Man Zegna.   Indeed.

As this is the season for giving it was great to see that this brand are doing just that.  Support the Reforestation in Oasi (its in Northern Italy in case you were wondering) is their strap line right now and apparently the founder has planted over 500,000 conifer trees already (we cant imagine that he did it personally of course) and a noble cause it is too.  Although luxury brands have taken quite a long time to catch with the concept of sustainability it is great to see them making a contribution back to the environment even if it is something the latest generation are demanding.

During the recent and current global events we are guessing that this has been a time of reflection for a lot of brands out there on the high street.  Not only, as you are probably aware, have sales online rocketed but of course footfall on the high street has seriously declined.  It is interesting however to see that so many brands have suddenly picked up on the sustainability vibe which has been around for some time now although perhaps not something easily adopted but the luxury market.  Until now that is.  Encouraging us to #usetheexisting but also promoting zero waste is this brand right now.

As we've mentioned and shown you recently, scaffolding is making quite an impact across a multitude of schemes right now.  Here at Zegna, the team have implemented a scheme which isn't quite scaffolding although it does appear to reference it nonetheless.  With their hash tag what makes a man and rotating mirrored cubes reflecting out onto the pavement this scheme really does draw you in to take a closer look.

This brand always produced such wonderful schemes; the current one at their store along Bond street is filled with this giant knitted structure weaving across their small run of windows, punctuated by their super quality product.

This brand never disappoints us with their window installations and they are clearly an important factor to the brand.  Right now, these giant sized balls of thread (possibly references to Wool?) hang from the ceiling to the floors of their windows here along Bond street in a repetition format.

It was slightly odd to see Tennis balls in retail store windows at this time of year however on closer inspection, the brand have launched their Active wear collection so it kind of makes sense.  Complete with 1960's Robin Day-style stackable polypropylene chairs in a repetition format forming the backdrop in conjunction with digital media.
