Givenchy, London

We're not 100% confident with the latest scheme at this brand.  On the one hand we have the land-of-the-giants sized (well it looks like a bottle of Bleach to be honest) plastique bottle and then a Male mannequin with one boot off and a female mannequin so high up the window and such a short skirt that you can see her changing her mind, if you get our drift.  This isn't an overly ambitious or detailed scheme and dressing a mannequin is not the toughest job in the world although this is not quite what we expected from this brand.

We have no idea what this scheme is about although we just love what these guys are doing.  Is there a narrative here?  We have no idea.  This brand are forging their own path with their visual merchandising and we are drawn in.  There's no apparent link to anything at all, and yet we find ourselves loving the outlandishness of their work and binge looking like its Squid Game.  Keep 'em coming. Please.

We don't often see much in the way of Visual Merchandising from this brand.  Ok, well they did have some large prop handbags in their windows recently although they weren't very exciting.  However, we did come across this installation and to be honest WTF went through our minds initially.  This is rather a slightly unhinged installation although we have to say that we absolutely love it.  This is so far removed from the usual things luxury brands do and actually completely unexpected of this brand.  We can imagine trying to sell this concept to the CEO and the usual dull-as-dishwater's from finance however, well done to whoever  was brave enough to do something so simple and yet so refreshing and interesting.  We salute you.

We don't often see much in the way of Visual Merchandising here at this brand very often.  Given the current circumstances we were surprised to see that they are actually one of the few brands that have their window schemes in.  With the application of some creative neon suggesting the kinds of products contain in store with of course their delicious handbags held high on a pedestal - well where else would they be? - is Givenchy along Bond street here in the centre of it all right now.

Situated in what was a part of the old Asprey and Garrard corner plot along Bond street (the Asprey store is still there of course but the brand dropped the Garrard bit some time ago) is Givenchy.  While this brand haven't done a lot in their windows, well, until now that is, we have been passing by just in case so that we could capture anything new from them.  And, just look at this scheme.  OK, it is a fairly simple looking scheme although naturally to achieve this amazing finish we're sure it took a long time to produce and we are glad that they have something which we can share with you at least.

How stunning is this colour?  In collaboration with Givenchy, the fantastic team at www.harlequn-design,com have produced this striking installation at Harrods for the signature's Horizon bag collection.  Each bag has been individually displayed on floating shelves with strategically placed fluorescent lighting which accentuates the amazing craftsmanship of their products.  The backdrop is a decorative, ornate molded element with historical references which have been highlighted with additional Red fluorescents. Luxury at its very finest.
