Nicholas Kirkwood, London

We thought we would have a wander around Mount street for a while as it has been some time since we had a look at the windows here.  This brand produce some interesting schemes although not as spectacular as some of the larger brands however they do make an effort and they are worth including.  These were not the easiest to capture as Valextra is opposite and you can see them screaming in the reflection.  The current scheme appears to be a rather monochromatic one, at least in the repetition of the blocks here which have been punctuated with some of their delicious products.

This is quite a difficult scheme to comment on as there isn't much here which offers a narrative for us to comment on.  However, these beautifully illuminated products form the plinths onto which the product has been placed.

If you haven't seen this little gem advertised in the popular press then you have missed a treat indeed although we'd rather focus on the scheme of course.  This brand have been producing some interesting installations recently which we have included here previously and this lighting installation which fills these windows at their store along Mount Street glows quite spectacularly.  As most of the high street are using graphics right now and goodness knows they are wringing every last penny out of them windows like this become a refreshing change.

This was a delicious new find here in the centre of it all.  We've never included the Nicholas Kirkwood brand as we had no idea that he had a store until now.  But still, here you go.  Now, we are not exactly sure what is going on here and although the graphics look fun, what the buggery does it all mean?  Well, maybe something, but when we cross referenced this scheme with the main website we cant actually work it all out?  Of course the product is superb, well actually truly amazing but we just cant make the links here as the website is so chaotic.  Just do a 'Google' and have a look. In the meantime, all we need, just like any other customer is some joined up thinking and understand the presentation rather than a luxury brand that appears so fractured, in which case therefore isn't very luxury at all, its just stuff which is sold at very expensive prices in a very expensive part of town.  This is not sustainable for any brand or at least not very good management of a brand with the ultimate goal of making money,  That's the point of it all, isn't it?
