Canali, London

Whoever is producing schemes for this brand, we take our hats off to you.  Changes here are galloping along and given the circumstances we are all facing we are rather amazed.  Ok, well they aren't as lavish as some of the other brands along the luxury mile but they are clearly created with love, care and a quick turnaround keeping us interested and coming back for more.  We just wish that their little front window would get some love though?

Canali, London

We find ourselves being drawn to this scheme for some reason.  Perhaps it's a Hitchcock vibe we are picking up.  Cut-out birds in a repetition format fill the window here at this brand where we have previously seen some great schemes over the years.  We just don't know why the scheme doesn't seem to flow throughout all of the windows though?  Rather a missed opportunity here although great scheme nonetheless.

We're getting that deja vu feeling with this scheme as we're sure we have seen it at this brand previously.  Hard times, run out of ideas or a good example of sustainability?  Who knows?  Of course pouring paint pots have been used before so it wasn't a particularly new concept anyway, but we guess dusting off the old props is something we might be seeing a lot more of and perhaps this is a good thing?

Presenting their Made-to-Measure campaign, Canali, in conjunction with www.artevetrinaproject.it recently created this luxurious installation across their stores which included these beautiful Golden elements to highlight the aspiration and desirability of the brands products.  Beautifully executed of course as one would expect from this incredible Italian house.

Canali, London

There appears to be a few pouring and dripping-style windows out there right now (we will show you Burberry tomorrow as an example).  At Canali, this rather clever installation of cans/buckets pouring simulated paint over their (we guess) SS17 menswear jackets looks great.  We have spotted some fantastic installations from this store along Bond street from time to time and some amazing props but have never met anyone who actually produces these for them, but anyway, great to see a bit of humour in menswear windows.

Canali, London

We have seen this type of scheme at brands such as Zegna previously although it is a great way of communicating to the customer that they create luxury clothing tailored to the customers needs.  Actually according to our sources around 250.000 individual pieces annually.  No easy task.  The various components of some of the details carefully thought through and produced by the brand we guess of represented here.

Canali, London

We have to be honest with you that Golf really isn't at the top of our list of things to be excited about although we do recognise that others of you might be and we are guessing there must be some people out there or at least somewhere who will appreciate this scheme rather more than us.  OK, so here we go, if Paul McGinley's name rings a bell to you then you can get within a few millimetres, yeah how exciting is that, of an autographed...erm, what do they call those Golf bags with wheels things?  Handbags on wheels? or something like that and drool away.  Joking aside, this scheme is rather impressive and these guys really have raised the bar a little higher with their magnificent out-sized and beautifully made prop of a Golf ball as opposed to their regular (but luxurious of course) suits.  Well its a mans shop and they'd all like bigger {Golf} balls, wouldn't they?  A great refreshing change to view this at Canali which got us all excited.

Canali, London

We don't often see much creativity in menswear brands (with the exception of a few) and rarely here at Canali.  We love these out sized props in their masculine steel finish.  A big, big, big shiny tape measure in a menswear window; oh, what could it all possibly refer too...ah yes, that these guys probably offer bespoke suits, we're wryly guessing?  Of course, it is great to see this brand, who we know very little about, produce a creative scheme and be a little less ordinary on the high street and this is most welcome.

Canali, London

We're not sure why, but we've never included Canali on this site.  However, monochrome scheme, chess pieces, a playing card (Ace, of course, possibly for Alpha male) and a die.  The dressing is always superb, the store looks great, but what a dull scheme.  Men have a sense of humour too, don't we?
