Dsquared2, London

This is quite a difficult window to talk about as there is so little in it.  A kind of historical boardroom or stately home-style paneling has been added to form the backdrop, well, a wall papered version anyway.  Apart from that the scheme is very basic although we are by no means poking fun as even this probably took a lot of effort to put in place given all of our current circumstances.

Dsquared2, London

We usually see these kinds of tropical schemes around the Summer time although it is great to see some greenery out there in windows nonetheless at this time of year.  With the launch of what we guess is their Spring installation this brand have opted for a lush living wall-style scheme as the backdrop to their product.

Dsquared2, London

This brand have produced some interesting schemes since they moved into this huge store along Conduit street.  Although they haven't changed their front facing windows for a while the side windows with its monochrome scheme is quite impressive.  Large graphics are the focus of this scheme, a bit reminiscent of an old style advertisement although it does look very effective in the 'flesh'.

Wow, how dynamic is this scheme at Dsquared2 right now.  While we are not big on large format graphics ourselves, these images are very striking indeed.  Complete with bright Red and Yellow painted backdrops this brand is looking very cool indeed right now.

Further along Conduit Street from the Yohji Yamamoto scheme we showed you yesterday is the Dsquared2 installation.  This store's site has had so many occupants in it that we can barely remember the list however this brand seem to be making a big impact at least.  Currently featuring these large padded screens to in order to punctuate the product is their current scheme right now.

Silver Birches in windows in September....unheard of.  Still, hopefully this isnt their Christmas installation just yet and we will actually see this chopped down just in time for the Yuletide schemes.  We do like the product at this brand, although the fur really does have to go.  Its not necessary and not the British market so slightly off the mark there.  We're not fans of Silver Birches at the best of times either so fingers crossed these will be recycled into something more productive once the scheme changes.

Dsquared2, London

There's nothing like a good old reference to London to add a bit of cache and a sense of the 'cool' to a scheme.  The Union flag is used the world over to get that 'London look' and mixed with some amazingly textured products, a bit of digital media and beautiful photography where could you go wrong we ask ourselves.  Although a bit of irony or humour wouldn't go amiss.

Dsquared2, New York

We've spotted this scheme at this brand back in London although thats global branding for you.  With their advent calendar structures, the doors of which we think move (although very slowly and its too cold to hang around here) the scheme of course captures the season beautifully.  Just a few more hours until the big day.

Dsquared2, London

Wow, the styling in the photography at this brand is very exciting and we were rather drooling at their products as we passed by their store along Conduit street.  The use of real fur however is really not necessary and something we feel compelled to highlight particularly when it is used as a trim on a product and serves no purpose whatsoever apart from embellishment.  While everyone is rather distracted by Brexit and still reeling from the shock of the US elections, this may all stay well under the radar however we just wanted to highlight that fur in a civilized society is a big 'NO' and best left on the animal that it came from.   Great photography however.

Dsquared2, London

We do adore this brand although this is a slightly non-committal scheme right now.  We did see this a few weeks ago although it was quite light when we viewed it so have only just been able to include it now.  There's no real narrative here and clearly the product is the focus although the large Black Bamboo against the Pink backdrop looks stunning when you see it in life however there's just no more than that for us to mention.

Dsquared2, London

This is one brand on the high street who are really putting some energy into their Visual Merchandising schemes.  Since they took over this Conduit street site we've seen some quite exciting installations coming through and this month, we clearly have references to SS16 (even if London weather is so miserable right now) with their beach hut-style structures and pastel shades.  We will continue to follow these guys and update you with wherever they go next with their installations.

Dsquared2, London

We have tried a few times to capture the windows at the new Dsquared2 store but the weather is so unseasonably hot and incredibly light here in London right now that it is proving very difficult to communicate the enormity of these windows very effectively.  These huge windows are stacked to the rafters with 'old school' speakers in which the product on very elegant mannequins are placed.  Looking great guys.
