It must be that time of year again, yep, the holiday season is upon us once again.  Time to dust off the flora and exotica and fill the windows across town.  It is slightly unusual to see Brown coloured and ghostly White exotic leaves although a it does make a refreshing change nonetheless.  It might be time though, perhaps to rethink this season otherwise it will just become another Valentines equivalent with Red and Heart motifs everywhere.

Photoshop on overdrive again.  We used to love the schemes at this brand when they were just around the corner from the LV maison but since they moved to their new site along Bond street they seem to have either lost their dedicated Visual Merchandiser or lost the will to live.  Mannequins placed in a Police Line  up formation, props randomly gap filling the floor and no styling at all.  Sort ya windows out Brunello Cucinelli.

We've seen some really lovely schemes from this brand previously, particularly when they had their store just behind L.V.  We're trying to recall is this is the old Belstaff site (we need to check again) but anyway, we cant help feeling looking at the windows here that there's a hint of Photoshop going on with no Visual Merchandiser to implement this scheme.  This kind of Police line-up effect with the headless mannequins and seemingly random product is the type we would normally see when marketing departments get their hands on windows and bring someone in who has a few photoshop skills and the visual merchandising specialist has been made redundant during the pandemic.  Why is the honeycomb structure filled with merchandise but up against the back wall?  What are the props even doing?  *Sigh*

This scheme is probably not very easy to view therefore we have as usual included our instagram and facebook links below if you want to take a closer look.  Anyway, we're not entirely sure if we actually like this scheme ourselves although of course that doesn't actually matter.  We do however love the tonal values connecting the fashion items with he background props although we are not quite sure about the lack of mannequins here.

We were quite surprised to see that this brand have moved onto Bond street.  We're guessing quite recently although we cant quite remember which brand was here previously.  Clearly we have lockdown brain at the moment.  As always this brand produce quite gentle schemes with a lot of fashion and a bit of lifestyle.  We expect over the coming months, well, probably now after Christmas that this brand will settle into its new space and we will begin to see the kinds of schemes we usually find here.

Hot air balloons seem to be a thing for Summer, and of course here at this brand just around the corner from Bond street in the centre of it all that seasonal feeling is very clearly communicated.  As always this brand produce some beautifully presented work although always seem to work away so quietly.

This brand appear to be adopting quite a lifestyle approach to their schemes with this gem-of-an-installation.  What wasnt apparent at first glance were the tiny details such as the products in the background which if you look closely are labelled with Creativity, Self acceptance, Good vibes and so on.  Just imagine if you could actually bottle any of these elements what a different world we would live in.  Great attention to tiny details in this scheme.

The Summer season is well and truly underway with schemes nodding to the holiday period coming at us all over town.  We've included this brand on many occasions although we've never met anyone who does these installations, who designs them or who implements them is quite a mystery.  However with their bamboo fixtures and backdrop and hanging chair (which we spotted as a key trend at Salone last year) this brand is rocking the holiday season right now.

Whenever we visit Miami we always go to check out Bal Harbor for the luxury brands.  As the space is only semi-covered it is difficult to capture the schemes here with such bright sunlight.  At Brunello Cucinelli which we often include when we are in London or New York the schemes are always perfectly installed.  We found references to the suspended chairs back in Milan at Salone last year so its interesting to see these threading through to store windows and of course everything else is seasonally produced.

We've been following this brand back in London for some time now and the schemes just get better and better.  Their New York stores are quite spectacular though and this monochromatic scheme in Grey (possibly 50 shades of it we're guessing?) is no exception.  We've made a video (below) of this scheme as its hard to appreciate the detail of the work here in a still image.  Just a few more days to go before the big day and sadly schemes like this will fade, well, to Grey we guess.

AW16 collections are clearly already on their way if this scheme is anything to go by.  Here we have references to gardening complete with 'shed' backdrop (albeit a very posh one) complete with garden seating and very shiny tools indeed.  We always find it slightly jarring seeing such layered schemes when the weather is so warm here in London, but thats fashion for you.
