Aizone, Dubai

We cant remember seeing this brand before here in Dubai although it does seem familiar.  Rocking a kind of Mondrian-esque look which we have seen so many times before (countless times) in window schemes although it drew us in initially; the interior of this store sadly is rather flat however.  Perhaps we in the Visual Merchandising world should agree to leave these colour and artist references for a while as it is sadly so overused?

With their references to bold graphic illustrations and a huge nod to Pop Art and Surrealism, the guys at Arte Vetrina Project have created this incredible installation at Aizone in Beirut.  Generally, two dimensional images depict three dimensional forms which Sagmeister and Walsh have played with and created two dimensional images of three dimensional forms.  How great to see such fantastic creativity in retail store windows from around the world.

We always have difficulty with finding really good Sale windows on our travels but here at Aizone, across the Middle East, those clever guys at Sagmeister and Walsh in conjunction with http://www.artevetrinaproject.it/IT/index.xhtml have woven their magic and created this phenomenal installation. Sharp angled layered paper in a repetition format highlights the crispness and detailed production of the incredible merchandise here.
