Salvatore Ferragamo, London


Rocking the product-led scheme is Salvatore Ferragamo right now at their store along Bond street.  Based on the Gancini (think backwards horseshoe) the brand have launched a new monogram based collection which has been included across all of the latests seasons products.  Great to see that the brand have brought the design from the product and right into the store through their graphic promotion as well as including the head of the mannequin here.

It's nearly that time of the year again and Tiffany are very well ahead with their installation here in London.  We haven't yet spotted any other installations across town although we anticipate that windows will be filled with references to heart motifs very soon once they've shaken off the necessary evil of the Sale period.

Alexander McQueen, London


We were very excited to find that the new Alexander McQueen store has now opened in the site previously occupied by the DKNY brand along Bond street and some great opportunities lay ahead for some incredible visual merchandising schemes.  While we have only viewed this at night time we did manage to peak through the glass and see some incredible installations within the space although we will try and have a look around the interior some time soon.  In the meantime, if you happen to be on Bond street, do go in and have a look around at this exciting new space.

Fortnum and Mason, London


We're finally back in olde London town after a marathon 6 weeks of NYC windows.  We think we covered everything there which we could possibly find.  Here in London of course, Sale windows are still in force and quite unbelievably so are the remnants of some Christmas schemes.  However, Fortnum and Mason have embraced the new season with their new years resolutions across their run of windows and indeed  spreading a little joy.  We shall get out more, but drink responsibly?  Yeah, whatever.

Bulletin, New York


Bulletin is another amazing new concept which we came across on our travels around Williamsburg, and as the signage in the window says, a Store for Women by Women;  with every inch of space used to support and celebrate female voices and stocked with their favourite female-run brands.  Additionally a percentage of their profits also go to Planned Parenthood of NYC.  A worthy cause indeed.

Allbirds, New York


If you haven't heard to Allbirds, the San Francisco-based start up then you really are missing a treat.  This store was rammed with customers when we visited so clearly hugely popular.  This direct to customer brand which specialises in environmentally friendly footwear are apparently the worlds most comfortable shoes.  While we weren't particularly taken by the designs of their footwear ourselves although the product was quite literally flying out of the doors of their site here along Spring street.

Candytopia, New York


There's a slight whiff of the Wonka Factory going on here however if you fancied an earlier morning jaunt where screaming children are high as kites on sugar then this is the place for you.  We visited here recently although they may now have shut up shop and moved onto their next stop, Atlanta.  This is quite an assault on the senses with lots of small experiences crammed into one space however it is very visual and naturally brimming with all of those important insta moments.  So, if this is your kind of thing then do go and experience it (best through the eyes of a child) otherwise, be prepared to feel mentally bashed by the whole thing.

Colour Factory, New York


If you happen to be SoHo's Hudson Bay neighbourhood then do go along to the Colour Factory as this is such an amazing immersive experience.  Originally launched in 2017 in San Francisco this collaborative interactive exhibition was so successful that it was extended and a whole new colour palette was then launched in New York in 2018.  We wont give too much away but this series of rooms is exceptionally well done and really worth a visit if you can.

Museum of Pizza, New York


We visited here quite recently as part of our quest to find new 'things' happening out there and while this one in Brooklyn has now closed (although it may reappear elsewhere in the US) it is worth mentioning as immersive experiences appears to be the direction in which commercial spaces seem to be headed.  The Museum of Pizza while not the cheapest of places to visit did provide the visitor with a range of different spaces for these (clearly) all important selfie / insta moments which seem to flood social media.  Of course its all sponsored by a Pizza brand.
