Chopard, London

We have never included this brand until now although this is possibly because they don't usually do very much. OK, ok, well everyone is in Sale so we are slightly struggling to find interesting things to show you, and we were rather drawn into this one, firstly because of the Ramadan references here (which we have never noticed here in London until now), but also the celebration and anniversary of the Palm D'or. the highest award given to films at the Cannes Film Festival.  Also, just in case you don't know, this brand dates back to 1860 and is a Swiss brand which was begun by Louis-Ulysee Chopard.

Alexander McQueen, London

There is always something rather ghostly about the windows at McQueen, possibly its the way that the mannequins faces are illuminated from below which give them a kind of Blair Witch Project vibe?  Right now we have mannequins placed in a grassy meadow complete with poppies and, well other meadowy flowers.  Don't let this scheme give you the heebie jeebies however, it looks stunning in the 'flesh' so worth a look on your way to Fortnums.

Fendi, London

Rocking the Post-it look, Fendi looks rather cool right now.  Of course, we have seen this kind of thing before although it does look great and even better to view a little bit of time consuming creativity involved in an installation.  We're wondering if, during the current heat here in London if some of these are falling off and actually part of the installation?  We hope so as this would make it just that little more interesting, don't you think?

Fortnum & Mason, London

If you feel the need, like us, to view a scheme which absolutely surmises the vibe on the street right now here in London then here it is.  Fortnum and Mason, as always, have tapped into the wider key trends and presented a rather tropical scheme for us.  The details as always are so beautifully thought through which keep the passers-by glued to their windows trying to spot all of the components and merchandise.  There's no quick flash of a graphic here, instead a carefully detail narrative which keeps us coming back to explore more.  If the smudges on the windows are anything to go by (which we normally experience at Tiffany from the drooling crowds) then this scheme is doing its job and as always from this store, so damned well too.

Stella McCartney, London

This was a nice surprise to find along Bruton Street,  We've not been kind about the schemes here in the past but, hands up this scheme makes a strong statement with its repetition of these wooden illuminated boxes.  Unfortunately there isn't much else to say about it although it certainly is one of their better ones.

Roy Rogers, Milan

Created for Milan Fashion week, Arte Vetrina Project have yet again unleashed their magic to create this scheme for Roy Rogers in Milan.  This scheme highlights the the skill and craftsmanship involved in creating their merchandise and additionally the opportunity to customise your selected clothing.  Customization is absolutely of the moment so great to see schemes around the world so bang on trend.

Alexandra's Boutique, New England, USA

Images Courtesy and Copyright Joel Benson

Its always a pleasure when we receive contributions of window schemes from around the world.  Here in New England, USA is Alexandra's Boutique specialising in bridal, prom and those amazing outfits needed for special occasions.  The current scheme is a beach scene with sand castles created from ice cream cones, beach balls and cabanas.  If you are familiar with this store in Fall River Massachusetts then get yourself down there and purchase yourself something dreamy for the season.

DKNY, London

Its not that this scheme is in any way terrible, offensive or badly executed, but it really just isn't very exciting even if it does follow all the usual 'rules'.  This used to be such an innovative brand and they have previously produced some really interesting prop led schemes, however the generic nature of this scheme does make it look like a multitude of other brands out there on the high street.  We don't wish to 'kill it' but something a little less ordinary would be great to see here.

Patek Philippe, London

We are so pleased to see this brand raised from the dead and while sadly we missed their exhibition here in London (it was all over so fast) we can at least admire their windows.  And how cool are these?  Large and beautifully produced graphic narratives into which the product has been placed dominates these windows.  Great to see some innovation although how about some humour too?  We're convinced that the Swiss are great fun.  Aren't they?

Dsquared2, London

We have tried a few times to capture the windows at the new Dsquared2 store but the weather is so unseasonably hot and incredibly light here in London right now that it is proving very difficult to communicate the enormity of these windows very effectively.  These huge windows are stacked to the rafters with 'old school' speakers in which the product on very elegant mannequins are placed.  Looking great guys.

Dior, London

This is one of the better windows that we have seen at Dior in a long time.  Its looks even better when you see it in the 'flesh' of course.  With its large digital screen which shows a background although we're not sure of what?  The colour looks just right for the vibe in the city however.

Mathew Williamson, London

Gosh, we haven't looked at this brand in a very long time.  Well, hands up we are struggling to find something interesting to look at right now as literally everyone is in Sale.  The weather is strangely hot here in the centre of the world and while most of us are probably enjoying this freakishly warm weather (unless of course you happen to be travelling on the tube which currently is like wearing clothes in a sauna - we're not talking from personal experience of course). If we ruled London then Transport for London would be hiring some buff boys wearing only a hand towel (obvs..!) at every station to issue passengers with cool towels, and some soothing drinks, possibly drunk from a coconut with an obligatory umbrella? We are so not beach body ready but who cares if you arent either, be proud of your fidoobiders, flash your welcome mats and hairy backs but don't travel in the same carriage as us - please.  This brand is sporting a collaboration with Mehta Bell Projects and presenting an installation by Tsai and Yoshikawa.

Scotch & Soda, London

While Sale time is we guess a necessary evil part of the retail process, it does annoyingly disrupt our rhythm in keeping you up to date with the latest schemes.  However, we came across this one at Scotch & Soda which we were rather drawn towards amongst the sea of Red.  Offering us a kind of market / holiday vibe the colours of the deckchairs and fabrics do look quite delicious and while the presentation is perhaps the kind of thing Anthropologie would do we appreciate the warmth of the tones projected by this scheme.  Oh but that annoying Sale graphic on the fenestration.
