We have no idea what this scheme is about although we just love what these guys are doing.  Is there a narrative here?  We have no idea.  This brand are forging their own path with their visual merchandising and we are drawn in.  There's no apparent link to anything at all, and yet we find ourselves loving the outlandishness of their work and binge looking like its Squid Game.  Keep 'em coming. Please.

Chanel, London

We can honestly say that we have never looked at this brands' schemes previously and loved it.  Never, Ever.  However we happened across this one, thankfully they got rid of those horrible pin head mannequins but the key point of interest for us is this incredible background structure.  It appears to us to look like a mountainscape, possibly the Alps, as a three dimensional piece.  Really beautifully produced.  We have no idea if this scheme has been installed where you are but this really is worth taking a closer look at.

We've recently included and referenced quite a lot of brands using rather abstract shapes and forms in their windows.   Clearly this one is no exception.  Unfortunately this gives us very little to comment on or even try to describe apart from mentioning the quite interesting use of the mirror on the left hand side of the space.

We often wonder if this brand has their own visual merchandising specialist for their windows as they do tend to look rather like a photoshopped scheme which was produced in order to 'sell' the look to an area manager-kind-of-scenario.  That said, great colour combination although we do wish they would wire their mannequins rather than these ugly base plates which tend to make schemes appear more corporate rather than luxury.

We often pass by this store although have never thought to go inside and have a look around.  The schemes here always have very minimal input (we guess its just their thing) and one mannequin as in this scheme.  Sadly another large format graphic is the main creative aspect within this installation although thankfully at least its not a large digital screen.

While we have seen and captured some great schemes from this brand, viewing large format graphics is quite a disappointment.   We know of course that there are still challenges in our current climate however utilising trusted local suppliers could have alleviated this (possibly?).  What makes it even less engaging is when the graphics themselves have no or little relevance to the product itself and/or says to us that the graphics went in while the product was unavailable.  Anyway, just our thoughts.

Zara, London

We happened upon this scheme the other night although the full run of windows had not been completed so we only have a snapshot for you.  Some really great schemes have come from this brand and their store on the corner of Regent and Bond streets and the current installation is no exception.  Currently featuring this magnificent New York fire escape prop is Zara right now.

We don't quite understand the narrative here although we're guessing that this scheme might be based on a story?  (we just don't know which one).  There's a kind of suburban wax museum diorama vibe going on here with mannequins in rather strange poses, possibly post-argument and trying to tell us something although we just know what?  This is what is out there right now.

Roger Vivier, London

Wow, just look at this little beauty.  We discovered this brand several years ago in Paris and then happened upon their store here in London.  There have been some fantastic schemes coming from this store along Bond street here in the centre of it all too.  We have no idea who produced this but we love this shade of Blue  (it appears to be the same shade as the Yves St. Laurent house in Marrakech) and of course the statement giant head.  This is only a small space but this brand really do pack a punch with every scheme.

Liberty, London

It's been a long while since we looked at this stores' windows although they do appear to be having some work done on the outside of the space which means that the windows are rather hidden at the moment however  the amount of vinyl on the windows doesn't really help as at night time they are very dark.  We've always found vinyled (is that a word?) windows quite interesting as they act like a kind of striptease, i.e. things which are revealed are far more exciting than if we are simply presented with them.  Additionally, they are quite an inexpensive solution too but work really well here with the application of colour and phrases.

Fenwick, London

We actually captured this scheme a few weeks ago although we were not quite sure whether to include the images as there is so much reflection on the glass from Victoria's Secret across the road.  But here we go.  It is so great to see such uplifting colours in this scheme particularly as so much of the high street looks so grim right now.  Beautiful jewel tones with decorative lighting and the strap line, the beat goes on is Fenwick right now.

There appears to be quite a trend for using these abstract forms in presentations at the moment.  We mentioned Gant here yesterday (just scroll down) which is applying the same kind of principles and of course Massimo Dutti, to a point at least.  Interestingly these kinds of trends have been developed by Luxury brands (traditionally), however as everyone has access to the same information we guess these things can happen simultaneously too therefore it might be worth changing the resources everyone is using as their starting point for inspiration?

Gant, London

We have seen some fantastic schemes from this brand and been to some of their amazing launches although not for a long while now.  When they were across the street from their current space they really did rock the high street although now they just seem to have faded slightly into the background noise of other retailers (when things get better we're sure they will be amazing again).  We're not big fans of the Varsity-look ourselves although we also recognise that we are not the target audience either so it really doesn't matter.  Is it just us or is there a  Marant /  Mulberry / Cos vibe going on here too with the use of these bizarre forms.
