Agent Provocateur, London

We've never been big fans of these kinds of brands although this one has previously produced some really great schemes.  Well, at least at their New York store.   We do appreciate the notion of Sexy although there is a rather fine line between that and tacky and while we don't wish to be mean about this scheme which is rather lacking visually apart from a digital screen it does appear to perhaps be targeting the lower end of the market with a whiff of the Red light district of Amsterdam.   Perhaps thats what they what?  Who knows?  If so, well job well done then.

Tory Burch, London

As with so many brands out there at the moment, the focus on the visual aspects  of retail store windows is quite minimal right now.   Here at this brand who we normally see produce some superb visual schemes and certainly earlier this year there were some real show stoppers.  Sadly at the moment we just have a plant and a few plinths however we are very confident that the amazing installations we normally see here will be back with avengence very soon.

Smythson, London

Oh we do love a Smythson window scheme and as with everyone else out there this was probably no easy task to produce given the circumstances.  At first glance you might think that this is actually a very simple scheme however as always the simplest ones are always the most difficult to produce as there is no where to hide.  Just look how perfectly their products fit into these boxes.  We salute whoever had the measuring task for this one.

Emporio Armani, London

While the latest installation at this brand is not the most interesting or detailed we have ever seen we were rather struck by their amazing palm props.  Produced in some kind metal, and finely cut these pieces alone look so beautiful and yet don't overpower the actual window space in any way.  Of course if this was a department store these palms would be stacked to the rafters in a whole range of dramatic ways however the simplicity of this installation does what it does perfectly well, that is, enhance the product.

Dior, London

You may remember that we recently posted the incredible windows at this brand featuring their menswear products.  What we haven't shown you yet is the womenswear which is very different from their menswear scheme.  No digital content whatsoever.  Figures appear to disappear into the background here and all beautifully tonal and gentle.  Lovely scheme.

Delvaux, London

We're trying to remember which brand was in this site prior to Delvaux?  Wasn't it a shoe shop?  Unfortunately the last brand did nothing of note in their windows and since this brand moved in we have seen a flood of creativity fill their windows.  We're not entirely sure that this one is about other than a woodland scene however we are grateful for everything visual out there right now.

Prada, London

Probably not the most exciting scheme here at Prada at the moment although their current Tools of Memory campaign is quite interesting.  On 2nd October you could have the opportunity to bid for their products from the FW2020 collection.  Isn't this the same as buying straight from the catwalk which other brands offer anyway?  In the meantime do have a look at their website currently as they do have some amazing visuals online.

Etro, London

This brand have been producing some great schemes this year and even in this relatively small space which they change very regularly they really have put a lot of thought into what they do.  Ok, well we have a lot of digital stuff happening which isn't particularly innovative although they do add product and this sexy little number complete with almost identically dressed mannequins in a repetition format together with primary colour plinths while it does slightly whiff of yet another Mondrian reference, but, put together with the moving backdrop looks very impressive.

Dolce and Gabbana, London

We've seen a lot of use of these types of pillars across a few brands over 2020 and of course most recently at Max Mara.  This scheme is probably the most interesting of them all however with some very exciting merchandise too.  It is slightly a shame that they tend use bust forms however as we're not quite sure that they do the product any favours although given the volume of stores that they have it was no doubt quite a task to put this in place anyway and we're grateful that they have.

Pandora, London

We've just realised that in all of the years we have been sharing the latest visual merchandising schemes that we have never included this brand.  We came across the store along Oxford street here in the centre of London and while the graphics are very interesting we were slightly confused by this message.  On first glance it appears that the brand are saying to us that it is "Time to Celebrate" and then with what looked like 2020 (as in the year).  Therefore, we had a quick look at their website and were further confused as they have a strap line which reads "For two decades, you've chosen us to tell your story through jewellery"...... which led us to think that perhaps the brand has been around for 20 years although they were actually founded in 1982 which would make them 38.  Needless to say we are no clearer.

Dior, London

Our video below probably doesn't quite do this scheme justice and therefore we do recommend, if you can, viewing this part of their latest scheme at night time.  The digital backdrop changes from Red to Blue in a kind of swirling cloud and glows across Bond street here in the centre of the luxury world, beautifully.

Tods, London

We do love these kinds of schemes where the design and production elements are included in the presentation.  You may remember some time ago (although possibly two years now) that McQueen had an exhibition at their store further along Bond street on the top floor which showed the whole developmental processes (or concept to completion) of their incredible products.  It really does help to communicate the lengths these kind of brands go to to bring us such superb end results.

Moschino, London

Rocking a kind of David Blaine vibe is this brand right now.  While we are not huge fans of the merchandise we do have to admire the lengths that they go to regarding their props.  In fact, we'd quite like to read the brief for this one.  Mannequin in a giant bag with TV on a plinth please?  No problem.
