Anthropologie, London

As regular readers with know, we do like to include Anthropologie whenever we can as their aesthetic really shouts creativity.  Repetition of these dipped pieces of Bamboo fill this window space at their store along Regent street and as always, its a real treat to view and experience.  Check out of video to get and all over view of this incredible space.

Simone Rocha, London

We've never noticed this brand before now so it could be a great new find.  We were initially drawn in because this enormous installation in the windows which we are guessing is product-led?  We will drop by on occasion but do check out her website as she does have a very interesting bio on her website and her merchandise is bought by some of the best of the best in the fashion industry.

Karl Lagerfeld, London

As usual, a perfectly executed scheme at Lagerfeld along Regent street.  We are yet to actually go inside this store although we're not enormous fans of Kitty related merchandise but then we are guessing this is targeting the tourist market who seem to love this stuff.  Here we have repetition of radiating forms in a gravitational format.  Check out our video to get a better overview of this scheme

Marc Jacobs, London

We did try very hard to like this scheme (not that it matters whether we do or not) however we saw the use of wooden step ladders in windows two years ago and lets not even go there with 'bits' of mannequins.  Hybridised mannequins just don't work too as the figures themselves are usually not designed to be put into certain positions other than for which they were originally intended but it is something which we find particularly inexperienced Visual Merchandisers occasionally try to do and it just looks awful.  With a brand as significant as this, surely there is a budget to find human-ish arm props if they are going to be used at all?  There is quite a sinister tone to this scheme and Cluedo-esque vibe which we actually quite enjoyed, so it didn't take Agatha Crusty or Hercule Columbo to guess that the murderer was Ms. Scarlet in the study with the rope.  If she had been swinging from the rope (although God forbid) we would at least have raised a well manicured eyebrow and maybe a little gasp.  Have a look at our video to get a better overview although if you are in the office maybe turn the sound down a little.  The external alarm at the store was ringing when we visited.  Possibly a cry for help.

Christian Louboutin, London

What do you do when you have a relatively small but expensive product but have a very big window to fill?  Fill it with something which has huge traffic stopping personality of course.  Here at Christian Louboutin, a massive nod to Kineticism (Art which has either real of apparent motion) completely covers this space.  Does it work as a piece of Kinetic Art at this scale?  Sort of.  Check out our video anyway and see what you think?

Aizone, Beirut

With their references to bold graphic illustrations and a huge nod to Pop Art and Surrealism, the guys at Arte Vetrina Project have created this incredible installation at Aizone in Beirut.  Generally, two dimensional images depict three dimensional forms which Sagmeister and Walsh have played with and created two dimensional images of three dimensional forms.  How great to see such fantastic creativity in retail store windows from around the world.

If you didn't seen Niketown's recent installation then here's a snapshot for you. Nike have launched their latest range, Tech Pack Sportswear incorporating their tech fleece technology which has been designed to hold heat and enhanced with a new camouflage design. In conjunction with the team at Millington Associates,  these incredible neon Red windows glowed across Oxford Circus here in the centre of it all while in store focal points with programmed LED provide information about the technology were punctuated with over sized images of the Championship Athletes in the new tech fleece gear.

Lanvin, London

We do appreciate and actually often like display cases, particularly very old ones which look like they've had another life somewhere.  We're not always big fans of the schemes here at the London store though while all the effort to the scheme appear to be in Paris: that store seems to get it all and then some. We do wish that the windows looked like they were rather more loved.  You can see the scheme in more detail in out video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Genu3NXjJAg

Bottega Veneta, London

We don't normally manage to capture the schemes at this brand very often as the security grilles are usually pulled down at night time so we usually on ever include the occasional New York store.  We were a little surprised so find that the brand have a sense of humour as while of course the products are superbly produced they aren't very exciting.  Here, a street scene complete with sitting Cat.  OK, its not exactly rocking the high street but the Cat did make us take a closer look as it does look quite real, at a glance.  What we cant quite work out is why there is a mannequin in an open window with a handbag on the ledge with a book case so close behind her?  She's probably looked at their website and about to hurl herself out through sheer boredom?   Check out our video here anyway and at least smile because there is a realistic Cat in the window.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49H529UPMUU

Prada, London

If there is one brand that uses colour to perfection then it is definitely Prada.  There's no main narrative here which we are aware of and as their website is less than helpful in communicating very much (and we just don't know why they just don't seem to 'get' the online thing very well).  The scheme as it is of course is beautifully presented even if it doesn't say very much and we remain big fans of the artisan quality of their products.  You can view the whole scheme here in our video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU7eOjXfUsA

Tiffany, London

We weren't quite sure we understood this scheme at Tiffany right now, however it appears that it is a mixture of a range of collections, i.e. star crossed, endless love, take a bow and unlock the possibilities rather than just focusing on one product to create a narrative.  Slightly confusing message here unless you scratch a little deeper and cross reference with their website, and quite honestly how many people actually do that?  It is still, of course, perfectly executed.  You can see all of the windows in our video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmcKjHqnQZQ

Marta, Reggio Emilia, Italy

Images Courtesy and Copyright Marta

Its not very often that we include schemes from Italy so it is always a pleasure to receive images from brands based there.  Here at Marta Giftware, the team have implemented thier AW15 scheme with seasonal leaves and branches which contrast very nicely with their Silver, crystal, leather and Silk merchandise.

Alexander McQueen, London

You really have to view the products here in person so see how amazing they look.  Surrounded by giant stems with thorns the scheme is very simple although it perfectly ties-in with the product creating a very carefully thought through solution.  Delicious as always.  Check out our video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjKqSj3VD0o
