Ralph Lauren, London

Rocking AW15 tones, Ralph Lauren looks particularly elegant right now.  This brand don't tend to go down the graphic look but the suspended printed drawings look particularly delicate and an interesting change to  their usual lavish window schemes.

Anthropologie, London

'Capturing the rhythm and movement of the wind through sand and the natural rise and fall of sand dunes as the wind erodes and sweeps through the landscape in an endless and and ever changing cause and effect' this kinetic installation by the visual team at Anthropologie looks very striking.  We always look at these things late at night so they always tend to be switched off, however if you are around town between 8.00am - 9.00pm then do check it out in all its movement glory.

Lanvin, London

We haven't seen the use of the concept of swimming pools since the days of Dickens & Jones and latterly of course Hermes Rive Gauche opened in the old 1935 baths in Paris a few years ago.  This is one of the better schemes we've seen here in London from this brand although of course they do execute some phenomenal ones elsewhere.

Dover Street Market, London

If you want to begin shopping for your Winter wardrobe then fortunately, DSM have just launched their AW15 collections at their store here in the centre of it all.  With a fantastic installation of an Artists studio by the designer Molly Goddard in conjunction with her latest collection this does remind us of the recreation of Francis Bacon's studio, the entire contents of which we transported from London to Dublin in 1998.

Rubaiyat Department Store, Saudi Arabia

Images Courtesy and Copyright Propstudios

We have never been to or received images from stores in Saudi Arabia previously so it really is a pleasure to receive some of the latest scheme at the Rubaiyat Department store.  We aren't familiar with this store however their latest installation looks quite spectacular and rather a pleasant surprise.  UK based Propstudios was commissioned by Al Rabaiyat to design and manufacture a series of large props for what look like enormous window spaces.  The theme of the installation is Luxury and includeds opulent chandeliers with smoked glass perfume bottles and crystal droplets, a giant gramophone with silk flowers cascading from the horn and a giant perfume bottle, to name but a few.  How good is to see such quality Visual Merchandising happening around the world beyond the usual London and New York.

John Varvatos, London

We do love the kind of aesthetic which this brand projects, i.e. a kind of monochromatic urban landscape which is sort of similar to All Saints really although probably three times as expensive.  Still, in its simplicity the brand in its UK format appears to be finding its 'feet' and tapping into the London vibe a little more coherently.  We love the product here and its great to see it on our high street although we do need to keep a Glocal perspective as one size really doesn't fit most and not everything translates from one culture to the next, even if we do, sort of, speak the same language.  So far so good however.

Selfridges, London

We have recently shown you a great initiative by G-Star in conjunction with Pharrell Williams helping to eliminate the use of waste plastic in the oceans around us.  Selfridges #ProjectOcean is a welcomed addition to this to help build a momentum in this thinking.  Selfridges have removed all single-use plastic water bottles from their stores to help protect the oceans from plastic pollution.  A great initiative indeed and a great window installation too.

Liberty, London

The new opulence is rocking Liberty right now.  We have noticed that this brand have such a great archive of their windows on-line which is a real gem of a find.  However, the information isn't always right up to date (unlike Selfridges) so we don't have the full information on this scheme.  A bit of disco fringing is always fun though of course.

Bershka, London

We've developed a strange fascination with this brand as while they are a global fash-middle-of-the-road retailer they are doing some really interesting things.  Here we have a collaboration between Studio Lile Sadi and Studio Siebring & Zoetmulder who have 'combined their aesthetic to create a delicate universe with a minimalist touch'.  You can find out more about their projects at www.dailygems.nl

Topman, London

This is quite an impressive visual overlooking Oxford Street at Topman right now.  It is perhaps a little Hollister-esque for us and we were slightly hoping that someone who was clearly 'Beach Body Ready' (and whatever that actually means) would swim across in mock synchronized formation as we stopped and stared,  now that would have raised a smile and provided us with an unexpected surprise.  Even just a little interaction would have ticked a box, but oh no.  As there is no humour anywhere on the high street right now and no clever use of product we instead find ourselves looking at a moving pool.  Well that's 3 seconds we will never get back.  That aside, this really does glow at night time and drew us in so it is clearly doing its job.  Interestingly also there is really good information about the product inside this windows' space which informs the customer about the product/collection and is actually incredibly helpful.

Selfridges, London

Have you seen the staggeringly amazing windows at Selfridges happening right now?  If not then here's a snapshot for you and how we love this aesthetic.  Fortunately this is one brand that talks about their windows and thankfully so, just check out their website.  Their 'Strength' campaign is a 'distillation of the new season' and 'in a world overloaded with information and influences [they] begin to find the essence of luxury in not more, but a potent less'.  This scheme is certainly in our top favourites for 2015.

Smythson, London

This brand appear to have developed a certain house style with the use of these angular structures used for there window schemes.  This week, triangulated forms on top of which is placed the product.  The windows are possibly not quite right for this product as they are rather more Arcade-like than high street style and quite large for such small products.  Maybe time to rethink the use of the space?

Longchamp, London

We have seen this scheme at Longchamp on our travels and captured it in various cities that we've visited recently and each time it remains at the back of the folder as we really don't know what to say about it other than that they have used concertinaed mirror to support this scheme.  Anyone else have any other ideas?
