Roksanda, London

Its been a while since we had a look at Mount street here in central London and just look at this little beauty.  Stunning colour and beautiful product is Roksanda right now.  With what appears to be a kind Fine Art approach to their scheme and a wonderful mixture of materials and texture the brand is celebrating London Craft week.  We actually didn't realise that there was one and sadly we haven't spotted any other contributors to this wonderful event (although sadly it has now finished)

Burberry, London

This is a really interesting move for this brand as they have ditched the old animal props and gone for something completely different with this installation, and we love it.  We did initially, well, close up anyway, think that these were a mould of a bus although we since realised that it actually looks like the front of a lorry (or truck for those of you stateside).  This is of course quite a masculine vibe in shiny chrome which is fine and how amazing that they managed to have these produced given the current climatic difficulties.  No easy task for sure.

Louis Vuitton, London

This mega brand have done it again with a stunning scheme at their Bond street store.  Huge video screens shining very brightly across this whole area, with a sprinkling of their gorgeous product and patterns galore.  Unfortunately moving images at this scale are very difficult to capture although we have put some videos on our facebook and Instagram pages.  Links to both can be found below.

Brunello Cucinelli, London

We were quite surprised to see that this brand have moved onto Bond street.  We're guessing quite recently although we cant quite remember which brand was here previously.  Clearly we have lockdown brain at the moment.  As always this brand produce quite gentle schemes with a lot of fashion and a bit of lifestyle.  We expect over the coming months, well, probably now after Christmas that this brand will settle into its new space and we will begin to see the kinds of schemes we usually find here.

Panerai, London

We cant believe that we have never even noticed this store along Bond street before, or is it that they just usually don't do anything interesting?  We happened upon it and naturally drawn in because, well, look at the scheme.  How wonderful is this.  Ok, well it was late in the evening when we came across it so sadly the product had been removed however a quick glance across their site and they actually been around since 1860.  Who knew.  Clearly their customers know the value of their products, and they have locations in the super, fabulously expensive locations around the world.  What a great fun scheme, albeit in miniature although we will check back again to see if they do change their scheme as time drifts onwards.

This brand have done it again.  We honestly think that they must have a storage place filled with gorgeous props the size of a small country.  As always another beautiful installation albeit of a gorgeous place which none of us will ever visit, however beautifully illuminated and fabulous products.

Dolce and Gabbana, London

As always this brand is a gift that just keeps on giving when it comes to retail store windows.  No only do we have this scheme but just a stones throw away at their other store along Bond street is a completely different one.  We're guessing that they either have a very large VM design team of one very hardworking creative director.  The scheme of course looks much better in reality than it does here as the security grille behind the product and props is doing it no favours.

Chanel, London

There have been some very interesting schemes at this store earlier in the year but as we have mentioned on several occasions already, as we emerge, in some way at least, from the devastation of this pandemic so many window schemes are looking a little shabby, although not this one of course.  However, we cant help feeling that there isn't the usual energy in this scheme which we have seen previously but in time we're sure it will bounce back with vigour over the next few months.

Fenwick, London

Is there a slight nod to Magritte here at this brand?  There appears to be a bit of a clash between surrealism meets municipal swimming pool and we love it.  We are slightly surprised that the brand have decided to use glass base plates with their mannequins this time around which is such a shame as normally their wiring is spot on and of course provides a much better finish to their schemes.  We were cursed with the brightness of Victoria's Secret across the road from here so you will have to forgive the reflection in the windows.

This brand have really been pushing their sustainability ethos proving that luxury can be, well luxurious and good for the environment.  Luxury brands have taken their time to adopt this although we have noticed that during lockdown new and exciting, plus sustainable products were creeping through.  Well, give the people what they want we guess.

We love the products at this brand even if they are way out of our price range, although looking is free so we will stick with that.  We have seen some really interesting schemes from this window during the earlier part of 2020 although with just a vary large disc placed behind the product there is very little visually interesting for us to mention.  So we won't.

Agent Provocateur, London

We've never been big fans of these kinds of brands although this one has previously produced some really great schemes.  Well, at least at their New York store.   We do appreciate the notion of Sexy although there is a rather fine line between that and tacky and while we don't wish to be mean about this scheme which is rather lacking visually apart from a digital screen it does appear to perhaps be targeting the lower end of the market with a whiff of the Red light district of Amsterdam.   Perhaps thats what they what?  Who knows?  If so, well job well done then.

As with so many brands out there at the moment, the focus on the visual aspects  of retail store windows is quite minimal right now.   Here at this brand who we normally see produce some superb visual schemes and certainly earlier this year there were some real show stoppers.  Sadly at the moment we just have a plant and a few plinths however we are very confident that the amazing installations we normally see here will be back with avengence very soon.
