Diane Von Furstenberg, London

We always envy the Meatpacking store for this brand in NYC as they have such huge window spaces to work with and quite incredible schemes which we love to capture and share with you.  In London DVF only have this relatively tiny space although they do manage to pull off some interesting schemes nonetheless.  Currently, with their Breaking News headline, stacks of newspapers and the strap line, "Diane Von Furstenberg, In charge since 1972, for the woman who is ready to start something" is their current scheme at their store along Brook Street here in the centre of it all.  Don't forget we have a huge collection of images on our Instagram, including these, if you want to take a closer look (link below).

We are willing this brand to look really good again as they have produced so many incredible scheme previously.  Sadly, it seems that their budgets are very low as using a large format graphic would indicate.  Investing in window schemes is so incredibly important for any retailer out there although it seems that budgets are cut for this integral part of showcasing the brand and its product and perhaps a sign that this brand is no longer doing very well?  We hope it's not the case of course.

As we have shown you in all of our recent posts for this brand, they appear to have developed this wonderful fine Art-style approach with their Visual Merchandising.  We don't know what the inspiration was for this scheme however we can imagine seeing something similar to it in some incredible gallery out there in the world.

Chanel, London

This is another brand which appears to have changed direction with their Visual Merchandising with a very minimal installation at their Bond street store.  Simple Black and White fixtures with strategically placed product.

Burberry, London

This is quite a change in direction from their usual schemes.  Gone are the austere minimal installations we've included here previously, followed by installations using their signature check and here we have a scheme which has a slight whiff of Gucci about it.  We're not quite sure about the hanging bust forms however - something slightly ghostly about the height they've been suspended from above the footwear.  Wonderful use of colour and pattern however.

Clearly everyone got the Flamingo prop memo at this brand as we captured the scheme at their Miami store recently.  As always this brand oozes creativity and the tropical theme has as we would expect to find, been produced so incredibly well.

This brand always seem to install quite low maintenance schemes here along Bond street and currently Akris appear to have an interesting topographical drawing as the backdrop to the product.  Other than that there isn't much else to mention here.

Debenhams, London

We have seen some amazing installations at this brand along Oxford street although currently they seem have stripped back their windows for a rather more simple look recently.  A very large snakeskin graphic fills the backdrop to the mannequins and with of course a call out to new new seasons looks.  A great window although a wonderful narrative and some fantastic props would be wonderful to see here again.

We dont often capture the windows at this brand although they don't always do very much at their Sloane street site.  However we were stopped in our tracks by the amazing backdrop and the colours of their window spaces in this wonderful Blue and fantastic Pink.

Selfridges, London

Wow, what a killer scheme from this brand.  This latest installation is "The New Order: A wireframe for the future of Fashion".  According to their website, "As the digital revolution continues to transform everything from politics to pop music, we have invited some of the world's most boundary-breaking digital creatives to reimagine what shopping, style and the department store might look like in the not-so distant future".  As always Selfridges is so incredibly groundbreaking in what they do and this is one scheme you should really try to experience if you can.

We don't always see the greatest amount for creativity from this brand although they do implement schemes in their windows nonetheless.  Currently, at their store along Sloane street here in London the brand have installed a series of shaped mirrors in a repetition format.

This is possibly not the most interesting scheme we have seen from this brand at the moment although it is of course always great to see them making an effort with their visual merchandising.  The brand have constructed these large, possibly perspex(?) frames within which mannequins and product have been placed.  Other than that there isn't really much else we can comment on.
