Louis Vuitton, London

At first glance this appeared to be quite an ordinary scheme compared to the massive impact of their Maison store here in the centre of it all.  However, what is slightly disconcerting is that the eyes here begin to blink intermittently and very unexpectedly - something you dont notice immediately.  A beautifully crafted scheme of course with a great dose of humour thrown in (something so lacking on the high street right now).

Fendi, London

We saw this scheme in Milan recently and wow just look at the props here.  Huge dishes filled with sweet delights form the main focal point in the windows at their Sloane street store and embedded with delicious products.  Clearly referencing some of their new collections this scheme is really does look superb.  We image this one is global so if you live in a city somewhere else in the world then do go and check it out.

House Style, Chatsworth House, United Kingdom

If you haven't seen 'House Style' at Chatsworth House which explores five centuries of Fashion then this event must be on your to do list this Summer time, it really must.  The exhibition is mind blowing and absolutely worth the time it takes on the train and subsequent cab ride to experience this immersive installation.  If you are a fan of Gosford Park or Downton Abbey then this is an additional reason to explore this staggeringly beautiful house and if you love to see the work from the likes of Dior, Galliano, Mcqueen....the list goes on, then this is the place for you.  Just go and see it.

Harvey Nichols, London

Never afraid of huge doses of colour Harvey Nichols is looking rather spectacular right now in Knighstbridge and oozing with energy and vitality.  With a  kind of fantasy garden installation the out sized flora is just delicious and a massive statement from this staggeringly cool brand.  Interesting use of mannequins too which seem to have  kind of nymph-like feel to them.  As always, these windows are so much better appreciated in the 'flesh' and its no surprise that they consistently win so many awards.

Pinko, Milan

Pinko seems to be a brand that we only ever come across on our travels across Europe i.e. other than back in London (although apparently they have over 500 outlets worldwide).  This is a slightly typical mid-range Italian female fashion brand but what drew us in were the suspended mesh (actually they are chicken wire) structures.  There's nothing particularly remarkable about this brand but worthy of inclusion as one of our final entries from Milan.

Herno, Milan

We included this brand here about a year ago and not much has really changed in their visual offer as they still have a kind of 'abattoir' scheme which they had in 2016 although they have added a few wavy graphics to the fenestration.  Its worth including them here in case they read this and hopefully nudge them along to do something a little bit more?  Thats our hope at least.

Joseph, London

We're always so excited to see what Joseph do next as their installations are always so interesting.  Inspired by the Artist Jeppe Hein's work 'Follow Me' the team have, in conjunction with www.harlequin-design.com, implemented an Organic grassy flooring contrasting against the Architectural lines of the mirrored columns which create a labyrinth where the multifaceted reflections produce a fragmented view of the space and therefore surrounding the viewer with an unfamiliar and disorientating environment.  Another great scheme from this staggeringly cool brand.

Hackett, London

The tropical theme is clearly happening across a range of countries right now and in this instance a reference to one of favourite places in the world, Kew.  If you are familiar with Kew Gardens you will see the references very clearly here with their beautiful spiral stairs and viewing balcony.  Another fantastic installation from both Hackett and http://www.harlequin-design.com

Liu Jo, Milan

We've mentioned a few times that there is quite a trend towards the 'tropical' at the moment here in Milan and at Liu Jo, founded by the Marchi brothers in 1995 is rocking the look right now.  Cage and Parrot props form the focal point to the scheme here with a fantastic digital flora backdrop.  The mannequin groupings could be a little tighter (they look like they have argued) but great to to see some effort from this relatively new fashion brand on the high street.

Faconable

This is a brand with an interesting heritage, founded in Nice along the French Riviera in 1950 by the master tailor Jean Goldberg, the brand subsequently opened stores along the whole of the Cote D'Azur including the glamorous Monte Carlo, Cannes and St. Tropez.  In their first collaboration with the brand, the team at www.harlequin-design.com, inspired by posters of the Art Nouveau movement have produced these structured walls with fully mechanised sail boats within the backdrop to the scheme highlighting Faconable's history.  Beautifully produced of course for this luxury brand.

Dundop, Milan

This is yet another brand to add to the list of ones we were previously unfamiliar with but we were drawn in by these amazing sculptural pieces at the entrance to their store.  As we visited at night time we havent been able to look beyond the threshold although this is a stunning entry point for sure and great to see the use of, would you say origami?  Who knows but great props nonetheless.

John Lewis, London

Images Courtesy and Copyright www.harlequin-design.com

John Lewis has recently launched their latest own brand collection, And/Or.  The incredible team at www.harlequin-design.com worked with the brand to create this impressive digital installation at their flagship stores along Oxford street and Sloane Square here in the centre of it all.  The content, produced by Adam & Eve, using bright-side technology (obviously difficult to truly appreciate in a still image) was synced across all three screens in each of the windows.  We've been passed here ourselves and it really does look very impressive in the 'flesh' with so much digital media and a very confident statement from this brand.
