Harvey Nichols, London

We went to view this scheme at Harvey Nichols in London's Knightsbridge last weekend and it rather took our breath away although this brand tends to have this effect on us and we are super huge fans of their work.  Celebrating all things Italian, Harvey Nichols have launched their Britalia campaign bringing the best of Italian design from food, beauty, drink, culture and lifestyle to their customers and as part of this promotion have unleashed a typically tongue-in-cheek campaign to support it.  Inspiration from Renaissance architecture has been installed on the outside of this iconic store, with the windows presented as an elaborate stage of Christmas magic.  Heavy draping crafted from reels of paper focuses the viewpoint of the passerby into the theatrical sets beyond which have been inspired by Italian Operas and uses stunning lighting which changes during the daylight hours to UV lighting at nightfall; a great excuse to go shopping here twice in one day and see this scheme.

Diesel, London

We've suddenly fallen in love with this brand as the merchandise for AW16 is superb, so much so we've been drooling over their website for hours.  Just look at this scheme too.  We dont tend to get around to this part of Knightsbridge where this store is situated although we will have to swing by when the store is open.  With their textured shearling and lambskin products making a big statement for the most brave amongst you and thier fabulously furry props this is one brand to take a closer look at right now.

Valentino, London

Scaffolding in various finishes seems to be popular across a few luxury brands at the moment and this one in wood is an interesting juxtaposition to the superb and delicate quality of the product.  We were however particularly interested in the mannequins here with their beautiful wooden finished articulated arms and head, all wonderfully tonal.

Berlutti, London

The only way to truly appreciate this scheme is through video (below, or if you receive this entry from us via email then do check out the link here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiAxPjuMdXI ).  We haven't seen may kaleidoscopes around town yet although we have a feeling this is going to be replicated around town very shortly across a multitude of brands.

Jimmy Choo, London

Launching across all flagship Jimmy Choo stores around the world, the latest installation is exquisite.  The brand worked in conjunction with www.harlequin-design.com  to produce this scheme which consists of a vertical table complete with hand crafted tableware and food items all covered in sparkling Swarovski crystals (a whopping 2.3 kilos of crystals in each window).  If can go and see this for yourself it really is a delicious scheme for this phenomenal brand.

Smythson, London

We have seen a lot of references to interiors in store windows recently and this one with its fantastic colour combinations is super cool.  With amazing products of the highest quality this store with relatively difficult window spaces to work with always manages to surprises us.

Taking inspiration from the Watch Gallery's 'Objects of Desire' editorial shoot, the team at www.millingtonassociates.com were tasked to produce this amazing snake sculpture installed at the brands' Covent Garden store.  The narrative here is influenced by the Garden of Eden where the products become the forbidden fruit which tempted Adam and Eve.  This stunning lifelike sculpture wraps around a tree trunk through the space surrounded with sumptuous foliage.

Desigual, London

Rocking a 'Farrah Fawcett' look right now, Desigual always surprise us with their windows, at least at their Regent street store.  There isn't much else we can comment on here other than the lighting framing this scheme although there will be more detailed schemes we can include in the coming weeks once Christmas kicks in across the world.

Evans, London

We have rarely included this brand here. As multiples don't tend to do very much out of the ordinary we usually struggle to find anything to comment on, however, just look at them now.  Inspired by stalactites, stalagmites and dripping water and of course the season of good will.  With their fabulously luxurious Black backdrop combined with glossy finishes this brand finally has some fresh air rigorously pumped into it.  We never knew it could look so desirable and no easy task for a brand that has been lost in the wilderness for so, so long.

Anya Hindmarch, London

It was difficult to get good pics of this scheme as the store windows are very tight on space, however we love this colour Blue...a kind of Yves Klein or Jardin Majorelle (both favourites out ours) tone.  With what looks like Pacman references from the 80's this brand as usual is making a bold statement and thankfully no Christmas trees, tinsel and God forbid Silver birches.

Molton Brown, London

While we are not a big fan of Christmas schemes ourselves this one at Molton Brown does actually look really great.  With their very convincing trees (as opposed to the usual faux decorated trees) with what appear to be references to an Alpine-style landscape this really does stand out on the high street currently.  We are trying to resist including Christmas just yet although it is a struggle to find much else happening even though we haven't yet got past Halloween.

Joseph, London

With some retailers teetering on the edge of Christmas (and some already in full swing) it is a huge relief to see that at least one of our favourite brands have such an amazing fashion-led scheme in place to feed our appetites for incredible installations.  And how stunning is this..!  Taking a trip into Josephs 'Acid Lounge' you can indulge yourself in a space that is presented as a fantasy organic landscape.  In stunning shades of Blue from the outside the scheme forms a living cave-like space with an inner core of Red, Yellow and Orange tones.  Its such a delight passing this store and if you can then do pay it a visit yourself.

Marc Jacobs. London

If you have seen the drawings of the 'faces' from this brands AW16 collection on social media then you will know how well this scheme ties into their launch.  The strap line here is Mrs. Peregine's Home for Peculiar Children and the story of Jacob who discovers clues to a mystery that stretches across time.  You will have to see the film yourself of course to find out more.
