SFD, Euroshop, Dusseldorf

There is an interesting thread of Virtual Reality systems and installations across the exhibitors here at Euroshop which is really worth checking out.  At SFD, the brand are pioneering VR in retail with their system which is so efficient that you can reduce time and costs from concept design to scheme implementation and yet so accurate that it reduces planning errors and helps you to discover optimum layouts quickly and easily.  Of course, the brand dont only offer store design but also fantastic collections of mannequins so do check out 'Articulate' which has been created from natural matting and bio resin.  Their Nude collection has an articulated head which can move like a human head which gives you the opportunity to change the figures 'mood' in just a matter of seconds and of course is available in a whole range of finishes according to your brands needs.

Genesis Mannequins, Euroshop, Dusseldorf

We're in Euroshop this week to bring you some of our favourite bits and highlights from this phenomenal Expo here in Dusseldorf, Germany.  With such a vast amount to see its quite overwhelming for the first time visitor so we are editing in the most interesting bits we can find to show to you.  This year the Genesis stand looks particularly impressive with its ranges of manequins arranged in interesting narratives from paper sculpted covered figures, colour references to the 1960's and futuristic figures.  Well worth going to check these guys out.

Nike, London

The interior of the staggering Nike Town here in the centre of it all was recently transformed into a fast paced football football field in collaboration with www.millingtonassociates.com  The launch of Hypervenom 3 featured a 3 D cut wall to showcase the product in motion and mannequins tearing up the concrete floor in a fantastic play with perspective.   Yet another amazing installation and collaboration from these phenomenal brands.

Dolce and Gabbana, Paris

These images are across a few stores in Paris.  The latest scheme is a 'Tropico Italiano' which of course perfectly ties in with their SS17 collection on their website right now.  OK, well, for our preference the props are quite vulgar although this is a good example of some joined up thinking at least from their website to their windows.

Courreges, Paris

A promenade around the Golden Triangle is a must for anyone who wants to see some of the fabulous luxury stores here in Paris.  Sadly, this is the only Courreges store that we know of but if you are familiar with the brand and the designer himself who only passed away last year, you will know that his influences were steamlined 1960's with hints of modernism and futurism.  This store is like going back in time, well, at least an imagined one.  What is difficult to see here however and the reason why we have included this scheme are the hints of the patterns from garments on the fenestration (you do have to look very closely though) and all perfectly in sync with their website too which has been beautifully produced.  Check out their campaign as it really is stunning.

Max Mara, Paris

We do love this Aloof figure by Bonaveri which Max Mara seemed to have embraced across all of their stores (we think).  The scheme at this store along the Avenue Montaigne uses these rectangular forms covered in and a kind of collage of patterns.  If we cross reference their website with their windows its not actually very easy to make the links between the two here but maybe any meaning that there might be is rather more implicit than explicit?

Tiffany, Paris

This is a slightly ghostly installation here at Tiffany right now along the Champs Elysees, don't you think?  Of course the brand is master of all things miniature and the creativity and quality of their props and installations never ceases to amaze us.  What is interesting here though is, while this installation is actually quite simple by comparison to their usual work, the shadows that these hollow 'gifts' create actually look really interesting.  Whether this is by design or default, who can tell although this does make this installation appear to have more to it than we initially thought.

Moynat, Paris

With an enviable heritage and delicious products it is no wonder that this brand (although they probably like to call themselves a signature) is up there with the best in the world.  We cant work out what this scheme is about (if anything?) however although they do have a really interesting website with the most amazing graphics linking in to the history of the brand (albeit minimal history information).

Moncler, Paris

If there is one brand that do out sized props incredibly well it has to be Moncler.  We always make a beeline for this store as their others seem so small by comparison and they really do make big statements here.  A life sized Whale of a statement in fact.  Filling the entrance space before you even get to the product itself, this is one confident retailer.  Of course their products are copied by so many of the mid-range brands and seem to be the particularly popular street-uniform of Italian and Spanish tourists however if there is one store you should go and have a look at here in Paris its this one.

Christian Louboutin, Paris

Almost like a fairground the product here in this relatively tiny window space is beautifully focused within these illuminated radiating forms in a repetition format.  Other than that there isn't much else to mention about this scheme although it is of course beautifully produced.

Colette, Paris

If the crowds are anything to go by, Colette of course is the centre of all things cool along the Rue St. Honore.  The store, in you are unfamiliar with it is brimming with all of the things you never knew you needed (or wanted) with collections from luxury brands you may never even have known existed and ones that are just about everywhere else. The staff here seem to be a lot friendlier than they used to be too, probably realising the power of social media so taking photographs no longer seems such an issue.  Gucci in one window and vinyl on the fenestration of the other with the strapline 'Boy Meets Girl X Care Bears' we are clearly missing something here although judging by the amount of tourists making large purchases this concept obviously works incredibly well.  We. on the other hand left with nothing.

Laduree, Paris

Of course we couldn't come to Paris and not include the delicious Laduree (or at least one of their many stores here).  Mountains of their amazing macaroons fill the windows here in conjunction with their pastel coloured packaging and neon lighting.  Paris is one of the few cities in the world that really do make an Art form out of all things sweet with the fantastic Chocolatiers and cake stores on virtually every street corner.
