Moschino, London

This is an interesting installation/collection from this brand with what appear to be references to the work of Touko Valio Laaksonen (aka Tom of Finland).  It will be quite fun to see who is photographed wearing the product when it was the kind of attire Laaksonen dressed his subjects in for his homoerotic art;  that will be a fun day on the London tube for sure. All said and done, it is great to see the look being claimed for the mainstream.

John Lewis, London

You may already have seen the latest advertisement for John Lewis's latest Christmas campaign which can be seen across a multitude of social media featuring Buster the Boxer.  In conjunction with those lovely guys at www.harlequin-design.com the team have created these incredible windows with fantastic underground scenarios in burrows filled with the brands' products complete with animals featured in the ads.  Go and take a look at this scheme if you can as it really is a corker.

Burberry, London

It is quite difficult to comment on this scheme at Burberry other than mention that it is a repetition of these radiation forms.  This is quite a financially efficient scheme for a luxury brand - ok its just inexpensive - although given that they are so global perhaps it is a necessary evil?  Who knows?

Dsquared2, London

Wow, the styling in the photography at this brand is very exciting and we were rather drooling at their products as we passed by their store along Conduit street.  The use of real fur however is really not necessary and something we feel compelled to highlight particularly when it is used as a trim on a product and serves no purpose whatsoever apart from embellishment.  While everyone is rather distracted by Brexit and still reeling from the shock of the US elections, this may all stay well under the radar however we just wanted to highlight that fur in a civilized society is a big 'NO' and best left on the animal that it came from.   Great photography however.

Mulberry, London

We didn't know what to expect from Mulberry as they seemed to have changed direction with their schemes recently for the better and this one shines across Bond street.  Mirrored baubles in a repetition of various sizes format looks incredible although we were particularly drawn in by the Copper half baubles which look like a miniature Olafur Eliasson installation.  We're big fans of Eliason ourselves.

De Beers, London

Reflecting the diversity of the London skyline, De Beers recently installed their 'London by De Beers' scheme for their couture week in a stunning Black all so delicately cut in the finest detail.  As we are just about to immerse ourselves in the Christmas season we are including this scheme before it changes for the next several weeks ahead.

Hermes, London

We cant wait for the new Hermes store to open along Sloane street which looks like its going to be at least twice the size of their existing site and much bigger windows too.  Beautiful simplicity as usual, while the scheme we featured recently at Bond street is still in place this store features these structures with minimal product of course but focusing the view of the passerby into the centre of the space.  We will look out for their Christmas scheme and naturally upload as soon as we can for you.

Space NK Apothecary, London

We are slightly drip feeding the Christmas schemes as they are rather limited and we still have a long way to go until Christmas day itself.  However, with their 'Wish List' strap line, Space NK (another brand with fantastic products) has recently launched their seasonal offer with these suspended circular forms punctuated with what appear to be repetition of 'scrolls' and cylindrical plinths in Gold and White.  We are not massive fans of cardboard engineered installations but this one does look quite impressive in life.

Ted Baker, London

With references to Pop Art on hanging banners Ted Baker isn't looking particularly seasonal, although to be honest with you, Christmas lasts so long that this is a welcomed relief among the pending anamatronics, miles of tinsel and baubles galore.  Don't even get us started on the twinkling lights.

Harvey Nichols, London

Images Courtesy and Copyright Harvey Nichols

We went to view this scheme at Harvey Nichols in London's Knightsbridge last weekend and it rather took our breath away although this brand tends to have this effect on us and we are super huge fans of their work.  Celebrating all things Italian, Harvey Nichols have launched their Britalia campaign bringing the best of Italian design from food, beauty, drink, culture and lifestyle to their customers and as part of this promotion have unleashed a typically tongue-in-cheek campaign to support it.  Inspiration from Renaissance architecture has been installed on the outside of this iconic store, with the windows presented as an elaborate stage of Christmas magic.  Heavy draping crafted from reels of paper focuses the viewpoint of the passerby into the theatrical sets beyond which have been inspired by Italian Operas and uses stunning lighting which changes during the daylight hours to UV lighting at nightfall; a great excuse to go shopping here twice in one day and see this scheme.

Diesel, London

We've suddenly fallen in love with this brand as the merchandise for AW16 is superb, so much so we've been drooling over their website for hours.  Just look at this scheme too.  We dont tend to get around to this part of Knightsbridge where this store is situated although we will have to swing by when the store is open.  With their textured shearling and lambskin products making a big statement for the most brave amongst you and thier fabulously furry props this is one brand to take a closer look at right now.

Valentino, London

Scaffolding in various finishes seems to be popular across a few luxury brands at the moment and this one in wood is an interesting juxtaposition to the superb and delicate quality of the product.  We were however particularly interested in the mannequins here with their beautiful wooden finished articulated arms and head, all wonderfully tonal.

Berlutti, London

The only way to truly appreciate this scheme is through video (below, or if you receive this entry from us via email then do check out the link here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiAxPjuMdXI ).  We haven't seen may kaleidoscopes around town yet although we have a feeling this is going to be replicated around town very shortly across a multitude of brands.
