Hermes, London

We saw this scheme very briefly before we went to the middle east but didn't have time to capture it until now.  And what amazing colours..!  Cinematography, giant keys, luggage and fantastic merchandise.  We're not entirely sure what this is all about but the great thing about this brand is how different their schemes are around the world at different stores. This is always appreciated.  Just check out our video below.

Anya Hindmarch, London

We are finally back from the middle east and have already been scouting around town for the latest schemes.  This week, for a slight change we are including a video of the schemes we have been looking at.  Some of the videos are only a few seconds long and some around a minute, however we think that by showing you a scheme beyond a static image may actually give you a better view and understanding of what you are seeing?  Here at Anya Hindmarch. just off Sloane Street we have this enormously fun scheme of smiley faces or repetition of radiating forms.  We danced our way through this period so the word Ass-seeeed screams at us like a flash back from halcyon days.  A happy scheme indeed.

Stacey Bendet, Dubai

We don't recall ever seeing this brand before but here in the Dubai Mall is Stacey Bendet, the US based contemporary clothing brand.  Multiples of Golden Balloons fill this window and while this isn't the most original scheme we have ever seen it really does look quite dramatic in this large window space.

Moschino, Dubai

We aren't normally very positive of what this brand produce in their windows as they only ever seem to produce the kind of thing that Warhol did oh so long ago and this is no exception really.  However, the scheme is a bit of fun and we do like the props here.  We understand the perspective this brand adopts regarding their products although simply reproducing what already exists doesn't scream originality to us but fortunately then we aren't customers anyway.  We still live in hope of something a little less obvious however.

Lanvin, Dubai

Within the malls here in the middle east it is of course impossible (well, very difficult) to control the lighting.  As you know we normally scour the cities of the world at night time like VM Ninjas but here as its so unbearably hot outside so there is very little notable retail on any actual high street.  We just thought we should mention this as our images this week do have a lot of reflection on them.  However, here at Lanvin, foliage of varying types is suspended from the ceiling of this enormous store in a gravitational format and in some instances cover the mannequins faces.  We're not entirely sure what the message is here but in this case it doesn't really matter we guess?  Its a bit of fun and actually as so many other retailers are still in Sale there isn't much else to select from.

Max Mara, Dubai

A great new scheme for Max Mara although with what we guess is their AW15 collection being launched in 40 degrees heat we cant imagine who would want to buy anything other than a handbag in this weather?  Still, we guess with an international market and of course not all shoppers here live in this country with its furnace-like weather and no seasons that anyone would at least notice (Ok well there are a couple of days of light rain a year which freaks the locals out) it does look great anyway with its plaited backdrop and this northern European palette which we love ourselves anyway.

SFD x Serge DeNimes Pop-up, London

If you haven't seen the recent pop-up space collaboration between SFD and Serge DeNimes then here's a snapshot for you.  Launching DeNimes AW15 collection in a concrete jungle inspired space the creative team at SFD created the environment using a combination of industrial steel and translucent polycarbonate materials to present the new collection.  The latest collection from DeNimes has a minimal feel to it which has been reflected and echoed within the space at SFD's amazing showroom, theSpace, here in central London.  Check out their website here www.sfd.co.uk or click on the banner on the side of the main page

Armani, Dubai

If low level lighting is your thing then look no further than Armani here in the Dubai Mall.  Beautifully curated and more like an Art installation than a window display these 'bound' light boxes look quite exquisite in front of which have been placed their mannequins in a Black  finish.  The mannequin in the image below looks a little awkward but overall this really does look superb.

Gucci, Dubai

This is an interesting scheme from Gucci, which we have seen via twitter has become global.  Neon lights in a vertical, repetition format with a giant bird carrying what we assume to be a product from their latest collection (well, why would it not be?).  This scheme really does look dramatic when you see it from across the other side of the mall, although we are just a little bemused with what appears to be a 'grave' covered in flowers on the floor.....and....and with revolving shoes??  Very bizarre indeed.

Bloomingdales, Dubai

Bloomingdales never disappoint us when it comes to presentation.  With their monolithic windows it certainly cant be an easy task to use this space well, but they always do.  Large format graphics shout out the names of the luxury brands in store and one simple mannequin from 'windows mannequins' 60 Sketch collection with their elongated legs tower over the passerby.

Chanel, Dubai

We never thought we would say that we love a Chanel scheme but here in the Dubai Mall, this brand looks incredible.  OK, well it is a Chanel jewellery store rather than a fashion (as in clothing) store but this beautifully sculptural structure in White and Gold does look rather stunning.  What is difficult to appreciate here is the size of this installation hanging above the jewellery which has been placed in a pyramidal format on white neck forms.  If you happen to be in the 'drum' then do take a look.

Charles & Keith, Dubai

For those of you who love handbags, and particularly those of you who like to visit your favourite ones at your nearest luxury brand store, and we know you do, here's a little snippet of Charles and Keith for you.  We had seen this scheme on twitter so decided to go and visit it for ourselves.  Paint cans and simulated drips pour over the product here.  This is a quite a difficult product to make look interesting but this scheme certainly gets the thumbs up.
