Louis Vuitton, London

We're not entirely sure whether the links here are to the details of Nicolas Ghesquiere's 2016 Cruise collection or to the Totemism trend (where Memphis meets Africa).  Either way the colours of course are delicious and the shimmering backdrop really lifts this scheme.  OK, well, it is a little Luxe-vulgar for our preference but these guys are the best in the world at what they do and second to none so we feel slightly obliged to honour it even if we don't particularly like it ourselves.

Ralph Lauren, London

More Balls please..........Ralph has gone all Wimbledon this week with the pending championships here in London at the end of this month.  Large screens with sound vibrating through the fenestration, their latest scheme oozes all the glamour and sophistication of the event.  Beautiful propped sets of architectural proportions look superb too.

Anya Hindmarch, London

Pop Art lives...!  We are always slightly cautious of brands which revive old and slightly iconic motifs from yesteryear as they tend to do them so horribly (think Moschino) however the craftsmanship of the product here wins us over and also that the brand have in this case toned down the garish colours of the original Frosties Tony the Tiger and created a superb product which of course has been presented so well in these tiny windows.

Liberty, London

Celebrating an incredible 140 years, Liberty is looking rather Christo and Jeanne Claude at the moment with all sorts of things covered in various signature print fabrics.  We have noticed recently that the brand have included a whole range of recent past window installations on their website too in chronological order which is superb.  Thanks guys, it hasn't gone unnoticed and so interesting to see what has gone before.  We cant see this installation on their site just yet, but we're sure it will be with a short explanation of the context.

Vivienne Westwood, London

We adore this brands store along Conduit street with its ever so slightly crunchy floorboards.  Rocking the Mad Hatters tea party this store is looking superb.  We featured the Mans store earlier in the week if you remember with its gas masked mannequins so the concept behind this scheme couldn't be further away; we love this.  The same brand on the same street and yet two completely poles apart schemes.  We don't find this very often so its a real treat to view.

COS, London

We have to say it, we really do.  Where the hell has the fun and cleverness with product gone in retail store windows?  We know that brands have budgets (OK we accept that this is not always sufficient to do spectacular things), we assume that there is some imagination available (if not then buy it in..!.....cost against a budget not a drain on resources...etc...etc.), but really Cos, really?  A fixture in a window?  We love what this brand does normally as they do have some really clever schemes, but gawd this scheme is soooooo incredibly fricking boring, not even just ordinary, its boring, its drab.  Please give yourselves permission to have fun.  Please.

Max Mara, London

Max Mara have finally moved back into their old or rather now new store along Bond street and sporting very large and quite short clipped bushes as part of their scheme.  Oh you know what we're alluding to with our school boy humour but great to see this brand back in its old home.  There's not much more to say about this scheme but it does appear to have much better product on show and the cobwebs appear to have been swept away.

John Varvatos, London

We love the merchandise at John Varvatos right now.  The monochromatic scheme looks quite delicious.  OK, well we have seen old picture frames whitewashed and hung in a repetition / gravitational format before but as the brand haven't done much in the windows apart from their last scheme we don't want to discourage it as we do appreciate an effort being made.  Just iron / steam those curtains though.

Vivienne Westwood, London

Never a brand to shy away from direct schemes, Vivienne Westwood at their Conduit street store is rocking the Gas mask and cut out look.  Considering that the brand have such a narrow window space they do manage to squeeze in some really interesting narratives which are always a pleasure to view.  There is a slightly sinister edge to this scheme although this makes everything so much more interesting we think.

Moschino, London

Oh we do try to like what this brand does, we really do.  This isn't the worst one we've ever seen although at some angles it does appear that the mannequin is swimming in her own urine.  Doesn't it?  OK a large Yellow-ish perspex old style Hi Fi looks interesting, sort of, although perhaps the colour is just a little 'reminiscent' and yet it could have all been so good.  Ultimately, these schemes shift this brands merchandise so who cares what we think; but the colour is so wrong, right?

Tiffany, London

Tiny windows with massive personality.  These windows look so enormous but if you are familiar with the brand you will know that they are incredibly small.  Concertinaed images of what appear to be a New York skyline form the backdrop to their product right now with tiny Bronze coloured plinths in a pyramidal format.  Great as always.

Brunello Cucinelli, London

While we have a huge respect for this brand which until recently we knew nothing about we are not sure what this scheme is actually about.  Dutch looking windmills in a repetition format against a White board backdrop.  Your guess is as good as ours with regard to what they are saying.  The product of course is superb.

Burberry, London

Curvy lines leading us into and around the space is the promotion at Burberry right now.  Beautiful sculptural lines carry their products and invite the viewer to look just that little bit closer.  This brand is rocking the abstract scheme right now, looking super cool and just gets better and better.
