We are slightly struggling to write at the moment with broken bones and plaster casts so our posts might be slightly intermittent for a few weeks.  In the meantime here's Smythson with their wonderful signature shades of Blue and a rather abstract installation for this season.

Selfridges, London

Wow.....if you haven't seen the windows at Selfridges yet then this should be on your to-do list.  Amazing...!  Telling the story of the run up to Christmas with a trolly dash at one end of the store all the way around the building to finishing of Christmas dinner, this brand has captured it all.  You can find the full run of windows on our Instagram through the link below.

Elegant as always this brand never disappoints.  Beautiful gift boxes of various sizes in Red and a gorgeous shade of Pink fill the windows here and completed with perfectly formed bows and naturally their tiny products.  Luxury oozes from these windows.

We're getting quite an Isabel Marant vibe from this scheme as she always seems to have these kinds of abstract forms in her windows.  It's not entirely clear if this is this brands' Christmas scheme although given the time of year we're guessing so.  This isn't the most exciting seasonal scheme out there but here you go.

We do love a great Anthro. scheme.  At this time of year, pre-pandemic we would have made the pilgrimage to NYC to record the windows although sadly for yet another year we're unable to get there as we used to love to have a look at this brands' store at the Rockefeller centre in particular.  Anyway in the meantime you can enjoy the London store's offering and as always you can view larger versions of these ones on our Instagram though the link below.

Wow, can you imagine how long putting this Lego scheme must have taken to produce?  We are rather in awe particularly given the amount of stores that this brand have, what a huge team effort.  If we were the owners of Lego right now we would be ecstatic that our brand had the opportunity to work with this super luxury one and no doubt images of this scheme will be placed around every factory they have from Denmark to China for quite some time to come.

This brand never fail to impress us with their schemes and if there is one thing we would love to do is to see all of their store windows all around the world.  We have no idea what this scheme is about (although we are getting a kind of underwater vibe) however we don't really mind not knowing as the spectacle is so magnificent.

Gant, London

Wow, just look at this installation at Gant along Regent street right now.  We've seen some wonderful collaborations with this brand for a while now which really does help to invigorate the high street.  The latest installation is in collaboration with the Artist Amma Lomax (do check out her website as she has a whole range of interesting pieces to view).  The other thing to note...no product.  Thats a confident retailer right there.

How wonderful is this installation..!  We're loving this cable car prop at the brands Knightsbridge store right now as part of their Alpine outpost pop-up's.  There appear to be a number of these around the world although you will have to look across their website to find your nearest if you are not in the UK.  The windows are a slightly different story with work created by Stephane Levallois and Megaforce as a part of the Burberry outerwear campaign.

We think that this scheme is a reference to the 25th Anniversary of the brands baguette and the re-edition of 25 of them from their archives for a limited time.  Quite an interesting move for this brand although a slightly odd scheme for this time of year.  However, if you have a look at their website and do the virtual experience then it all makes sense.
