Ermenegildo Zegna, London

While this isnt the most exciting installation we have seen from this brand the product looks incredible.  While we are unlikely to find ourselves skiing anytime soon, if we were, how wonderful to have this collection of gorgeous products.  In the meantime, there is quite an unusual sculptural piece just inside the store which we've included here in the image down below.

Agent Provocateur, London

This brands' store in New York, while small in size always looks so incredible at this time of year. In fact, we actually included one of their schemes in the latest edition of our book.  This store however does appear rather unloved and in need of some much needed VM tlc, don't you think?  Sale time is never a good look for any store although we did actually capture this before the holidays so we would have thought that perhaps a more polished scheme might be in place.  To be fair though, like just every other retailer out there on the high street they have probably had a rough time this year so perhaps we shouldnt be so harsh?

Mulberry, London

This brand once had huge windows at this store along Bond street which were filled with enormous narratives on a rolling basis.  However with open backed windows, schemes do become a bit limiting as you also have to consider the view of the window from inside the store which makes it difficult to hide any necessary adjustments to the products (not that handbags need this of course) plus we have the ugly security grilles too after a series of robberies along this street. However it is great to see that the brand have added this wonderful curved fabric backdrop to hide all of these elements in order to create a context for their products and great colour combinations too.

Breitling, London

This brand isnt huge on their Visual Merchandising but on occasion they really do it very well.  Just look at this installation at their institutional complement along Bond street.  As we capture schemes mostly at night time the product has been removed for security but you can still appreciate the quality of their work. In the meantime we wish you all a wonderful Holiday wherever you are in the world.

Dolce and Gabbana, London

We've seen some great schemes from this brand over time and this installation was initially interesting, well until that is they tried to make it like a Christmas scheme with the addition of the coloured lighting and the ornate structure behind the bustforms.  All very odd looking is this scheme.

Louis Vuitton, London

This brand just get it all so right.  As ever the brand have delivered a killer scheme across their stores and in this instance, coloured neon lighting of the brands signature motifs.  We did actually capture the windows initially at thier Sloane street site just before the sad passing of Virgil Abloh and of course the windows were quickly and respectfully covered over with a large format graphic.  We are pleased however to see that this scheme has some time to air, be seen and experienced.

Zara, London

Wow, this brand can certainly turn their schemes around.  It wasnt so long ago we saw their party wear installation which we assumed was their seasonal offer but just look at this little beauty.  Shooting stars in Neon across their Oxford street store.  This scheme is so elegant although we are particularly in awe of their well oiled operation which has allowed them to do this.  Naturally, images of their full run will be on our Insta pages and as usual, the link is below.

Brunello Cucinelli, London

Photoshop on overdrive again.  We used to love the schemes at this brand when they were just around the corner from the LV maison but since they moved to their new site along Bond street they seem to have either lost their dedicated Visual Merchandiser or lost the will to live.  Mannequins placed in a Police Line  up formation, props randomly gap filling the floor and no styling at all.  Sort ya windows out Brunello Cucinelli.

Fortnum and Mason, London

The closer we get to Christmas, the harder it is to capture the windows here as the crowds become ever more frenzied with excitement.  We did however manage to capture these windows through the crowds although hadnt realised at the time that the concept here was based on animals dreams and appear to have missed the various creatures asleep at the bottom of the windows.  Anyway, most of the run can be seen via out Insta page, link below.

Hermes, London

We think we detect a few references to Firtz Lang's 1927 film Metropolis?  If we are right, then how amazing is this?  If we're wrong, it doesnt matter anyway as we love the schemes at this brand regardless.  Sadly this is the second year in a row where we couldnt get to see the stores in NYC as we do love to have a look at this brands' stores because the schemes are all so different.  In the meantime, the full run of windows are included on our Insta and Facebooks sites with the links below.

Fendi, London

Yeah, we have no idea either.  However, following a quick glance across their website while trying to make sense of this scheme we did actually come across an interesting exhibition which they are advertising on their main page. Called Hand in Hand it celebrates Italian Artisans and is currently happening in Rome right now until January.  We only wish that we could be there to see it.

Loewe, London

We have been wondering if this brand recieved the Christmas memo this year?  Or, are they so incredibly cool that they decided to take the flora route this year?  Maybe Christmas looks like this somewhere in the world perhaps?  Anyway, who cares, it looks colourful and interesting (apart from the horrible security grille behind the scheme, but then that's open backed windows for you).

Liberty, London

We had almost forgotten that we had captured the windows here as we have been so consumed by the many installations out there on the high street.  Over the years we have seen some really daring schemes at this store which we loved and particularly enjoyed how they captured the vibe on the street.  This seems to be lost a little now but things change and move on we guess and no-one can afford to offend anyone (although they were fun times).  In the meantime stacks and stacks of envelopes were used in this scheme as well as a tonne of product and as usual there are a lot more images available via our Insta or Facebook pages for closer inspection with the links below.
