Yeah, we have no idea either.  However, following a quick glance across their website while trying to make sense of this scheme we did actually come across an interesting exhibition which they are advertising on their main page. Called Hand in Hand it celebrates Italian Artisans and is currently happening in Rome right now until January.  We only wish that we could be there to see it.

We have been wondering if this brand recieved the Christmas memo this year?  Or, are they so incredibly cool that they decided to take the flora route this year?  Maybe Christmas looks like this somewhere in the world perhaps?  Anyway, who cares, it looks colourful and interesting (apart from the horrible security grille behind the scheme, but then that's open backed windows for you).

Liberty, London

We had almost forgotten that we had captured the windows here as we have been so consumed by the many installations out there on the high street.  Over the years we have seen some really daring schemes at this store which we loved and particularly enjoyed how they captured the vibe on the street.  This seems to be lost a little now but things change and move on we guess and no-one can afford to offend anyone (although they were fun times).  In the meantime stacks and stacks of envelopes were used in this scheme as well as a tonne of product and as usual there are a lot more images available via our Insta or Facebook pages for closer inspection with the links below.

Ermenegildo Zegna, London

We've followed this brand all the way through yet another year and, just as with this scheme, they produce some wonderful work.  For this season the brand have instaled a slowly revolving globe in one of their windows, the details below are of what is inside.  We've missed not being able to see New York again this year although the interior of the globe reminds us of some of the amazing visual merchandising we've seen at places such as ABC (our absolute favourite interiors store).

Coach, London

Our images are probably not the most flattering ones for this scheme as it does look a lot better than what you can see here however as we were very quickly dodging the crowds along Regent Street this is as good as they get.  We love these animals in the windows here in beautiful finishes in shiny metallic tones.  The stap line or perhaps promotional tag for the season is of course Give a Little Love which features here in White neon lettering.

Although this is a relatively small store here along Bond street this brand always produce some killer schemes.  Indeed throughout 2021 we have seen some real corkers.  We're not quite sure how we feel about this scheme with its Bubblegum Pink....are they fair ground horses?  And, wearing some of the product but they do have a certain style to their schemes and quite honestly we're so glad that they take their Visual Merchandising so seriously.

Wow....this looks really great.  We havent always been kind about the windows here but we have to say it....this scheme looks really fun.  With references to what appear to be gaming and pinball machines in particular the brand really have gone over board on their Christmas scheme this year with an impressive installation.  We still dont like the product but the windows look brilliant this year.  As always, more images on our Insta and Facebook accounts through the links below.

Rimowa, London

We werent quite sure what to make of this scheme with the slightly creepy metallic child however on reflection (no pun intended), we love the simplicity and the finish looks fantastic.  Whether by default or design the way the finish on the figure reflects the surrounding lighting on the street and from the stores across the road works incredibly well and naturally their luxury products stacked in this pyramidal / tree-like structure is genius.

You have probably seen this scheme across the world if you are linked into their social media and what a wonderful tribute to such an incredbile talent.  We've seen some very moving social media posts regarding the passing of Virgil Abloh and of course our thoughts are with his family too.

A Bathing Ape, London

It really has been a very long time since we first saw this brand on the high street, in fact it was 20 years ago in Tokyo where we originally came across it.  It took quite some time to find the store given that there was a hurricane and that it was in an obscure basement somewhere, but find it we did.  Twenty years on they have taken over the old Nicole Farhi store along Conduit street and still look achingly cool.

Anthropologie, London

Christmas is not our favourite time of year personally, perhaps working in the industry for so long we're rather over decorations etc. although we do tend to look forward to the schemes at this brand.  Anthropologie always produce wonderful schemes and we really do appreciate the handmade approach which they adopt.  We can only hope that one day more brands will become less corporate and adopt this strategy again too.

This brand always presents their schemes with such style.  Throughout 2021 we have seen some very sophisticated installations in their windows and this one certainly doesnt dissapoint.  Perfectly dressed figures and simple Black and White graphics both inside the window and across the fenestration is Massimo Dutti right now.

We captured these windows here just after Black Friday which we thought we should mention in case the brand in HQ somewhere in the world assumes that the team have left this in the window.  We dont often look here although we did love the beautiful lights that they have in the windows right now which is quite a refreshing approach for a seasonal scheme.
