African Trading Post, Cape Town

This store was quite a find down at the V&A (thats Victoria and Alfred rather than Victoria and Albert).  Crammed to the rafters are African products (and of course as in the top image, by-products) which we would naturally expect to see here in this developing country.  We are slightly over the African masks and stuff ourselves although this place offers an incredible range of products to select from.  Just make sure those Zulu spears are cabin approved before travelling home....obvs.

Zara, Cape Town

As one would expect this brand has a presence in town and of course in true fashion their consistency of delivery is quite astounding.  How a mid-range brand with so many stores manages to implement a scheme across so many different sized stores must require military precision.  Of course we have included this scheme from one of their London stores (or at least a version of it).

Milnerton Market, Cape Town

We're on a research visit here in Cape Town to view the delights that this incredible city has to offer.  We have been here for a few days already and it is quite apparent that we cant quite adopt the same kind of freely walking the streets, particularly at night time, which we find ourselves doing in the rest of the world.  Gun crime and muggings are a big deal here.  That said, the locals are super friendly and have been very helpful with finding those elusive places across the city and so we begin our journey with Milnerton Market.  OK, well, its more of a car boot sale than an Antiques market although we have managed to find some delicious (and not so delicious) things to inspire and entertain us nonetheless.

Tiffany, London

We're all aware of how annoying flies and all sorts of flying insects can be during this time of year but to make it look so incredibly interesting and elegant, well, thats Tiffany for you.  The current scheme complete with fly zapper and nets, as always is so incredibly produced and so beautifully presented.

Zara, London

Zara are a gift that just keeps on giving.  Well, at their central London store at least.  With a huge digital screen on which we imagine they spent quite a few pretty pennies complete with fabulous and affordable fashion.  We imagine, however, that they may be picked up on on their ever-so-slightly emaciated mannequins which they have used.  Is anyone actually that thin and healthy?  Come on Zara, isn't it time we all moved on from abnormally skinny figures and were rather more embracing of diversity?   21st Century an' all that.

Philipp Plein, London

We included a version of this scheme from the brands store in Milan recently although only the Barbie Pink narrative.  Here along Bond street the brand have also implemented a male version of the scheme as well, complete with miniature house and naked dolls (are they Ken dolls?  Who knows?).  Anyway, any its a bit of fun and brighten our evening a little.

Ralph Lauren, London

Gone is the usual opulence and interior spaces-style installations located in fantasy places which we will never experience, but have come to expect from this brand, and currently a very simple installation with the main interest, the coloured backdrop.  This is a very clean scheme and no doubt still took some time to produce to make it all look so simple.

Selfridges, London

Wow, wow and wow.  As always this brand produce the most incredible schemes on the high street out there and it really is a treat to see their latest installation.  We weren't aware of Pat McGrath Labs previously (not being big on cosmetics an' all that) however what a stunning installation from both brands here.  With all sorts of futuristic references there is absolutely tonnes to look at (more detailed images on out instagram account) and if you aren't a big fan of lipsticks and eyeshadows then at least you can treat yourself to a T-shirts instead.  Our favourite is the one with the Sex Pistols.

Prada, London

This has to be one of favourite brands for the use of colour in their windows as they always get it so right.  Their website doesn't give much away although of course the floral scheme here is absolutely of the season.  There are some interesting three dimensional prop flowers included here also which we haven't quite worked out their purpose apart from, well being props.

Hublot, London

We cant ever remember including this brand previously although they don't tend to do very much in their windows for us to comment on.  Until now that is.  While sporty stuff is not our preference it is great to see that the brand have installed quite an interesting scheme and naturally as one would expect from this super luxury store, beautifully produced.

Harvey Nichols, London

We only just managed to capture this scheme before the windows were covered up although we seem it pass by this iconic store quite frequently.  We are not quite sure of the narrative here but one thing which is absolutely guaranteed is that their visual merchandising not only entertains but is always so superbly produced.  We are big fans.

Gina, London

If you like your shoes luxurious and naturally expensive then this is the brand for you.  This brand tend to only have stores in the most exclusive parts of town as one would expect and currently while this is quite a simple scheme consisting of these round podiums in a repetition format complete with graphic is does look particularly effective.

Dolce and Gabbana, London

This brand seem to produce endless schemes for their stores and seemingly different across so many of them.  We can imagine that is not an easy task to do.  Currently flying papers and small room sets fill the windows at the store at the Piccadilly end of Bond street here in the centre of it all.
