Stella McCartney, London

Its been such a long time since we included this brand although now that they have a brand new store (since their move from Bruton Street to Bond street) and what appears to be a much bigger window space, hopefully we will see more schemes coming through which we can include.  As the brand give a huge nod to sustainability we aren't expecting massively lavish schemes here although hopefully they will be changing at least a few times a year.

Dolce and Gabbana, London

This is a relatively simple scheme from this brand which normally presents quite lavish schemes at their Bond Street site.  Colourful wooden boxes have been used here to show the product in various formats.  Beyond that there isn't much else we can comment on.

Tiffany, London

As the 'king' of all things miniature you cant beat a great Tiffany scheme.  It is worth noting here that we are seeing a lot of honeycomb structures around town at the moment and of course as always the schemes are superbly produced and installed.  The other windows along this run of four do have a kind of explosive feel about them or perhaps this is a reference to collage and the Cubism / modern movement?  Who knows?

Miu Miu, London

We havent spotted anything happening at this brand for quite a long time.....possibly years.  However, great to see that they have included such a great scheme at their Bond street store and fingers crossed they will keep coming so that we can include them here.  We're not entirely sure what the current scheme is about but fantastic to see something visual at this brand anyway.

Etro, London

We've seen a few references to chequer boards in schemes recently (although not quite enough to make a trend) with the latest scheme at Etro applying this to their backdrop.  The colours and the products here look really stunning when you view this scheme  in the 'flesh' so it might just be worth checking out your nearest store in order to experience this for yourself.

Karl Lagerfeld, London

You have to see this in the 'flesh' to truly appreciate this installation as the moving dot matrix lighting is quite something.  Glowing across Regent street is Lagerfeld right now.....the scheme is otherwise quite as we would expect and the usual product handling dynamics are of course in place.....but, the lighting framing it is quite something.

Moschino, London

This is one of the better schemes from this brand and much better product than we've previously seen.  Slightly scary looking mannequins.....a whiff of artificial intelligence, but without...well the artificial intelligence......the mannequins have been encased in clear tubes in a repetition format.

Alexander McQueen, London

Its been a while since we've included this brand although they havent done very much in the windows for quite a while.  Currently, their latest installation is this kaleidoscopic scheme which really does make a significant impact in their windows at Bond street.  Great to have this brand back on the VM map again too.

Hermes, London

Wow, Hermes have done it again with a killer scheme at their Bond street store.  Games, or at least chequered boards have begun to spring up across a multitude of brands 'out there' so there is clearly a link to something and of course the V&A currently have their amazing Video Games exhibition which we visited recently.....high tech vs. low tech?  Who knows?  Ultimately a superbly executed installation with amazingly produced props from this fantastic brand.  We bow down to you.

The Onion Farm, London

One of the favourite parts of our job is looking for inspiration for new concepts so elements like this usually offer some great starting points.  The Onion Farm, was "inspired by the dim light of the gallery that it was placed within" and "conceived from something growing in the dark".  At this point we dont quite know how we would bring something like this into a Visual Merchandising concept however we will probably 'bank' it for when the time is right.

Time for Tea, Fortnum and Mason, London

Purely by chance we can across this experience at Fortnum and Mason last week which "invites visitors to immerse themselves in a daily tea ritual held throughout the London Design Festival".  "Using more than 80 products the installations aimed to deliver a unique take on the ceremony of tea."  The event is held daily at various time slots although you can view our video below anyway in order to get a feel for this.  Alternatively pop to the fabulous Christmas shop next to it.

The Raw Space Chamber, London

This amazing space tells "the story of Raw Space and was produced in collaboration with Nokia Bell Labs,  incorporating the worlds first 360 degree AR stream in a new portable incarnation".  If you have the opportunity to see this you can immerse yourself in a "magical and ceremonial listening experience".  We did.

Dazzle, London

If you missed the London Design Festival here in the centre of it all then for the next few days we going to share some of our delicious finds.  Here at the V&A, the monolithic and mega-world-class museum is Dazzle.  "The graphic design studio, Pentagram were commissioned for this project to be inspired by a type of experimental camouflage used during the First World War."  "The idea of 'Dazzle', a camouflage painted on the surface of ships was pioneered by the artist Norman Wilkinson, who prepared numerous designs for vessels, drawing on avant-garde movements such as Cubism and Vorticism, as well as animal camouflage".  This is a staggering space to visit, so, if you do have a moment do swing by the V&A to experience this for yourself.
