For such a small product this brand always produce some interesting schemes and this is one which we absolutely adore.  With their graphically produced cut-out carriage this is one scheme on the high street which looks really cool right now.  Do check out their store along Mount street here in the centre of it all.

John Lewis, London

We do find ourselves willing this brand to do more theatrical schemes, although that said it cant be an easy task producing what they do with so many stores and vast window spaces.  Of course what they  they do very well and with a core customer which includes just about everyone out there who would risk alienating any of them right?  This is just a snippet of their window scheme as a lot of them contain homeware which is rarely interesting anyway (unless you happen to be ABC, NYC).

King of Trainers, London

We've never included this brand here before, although the only reason is that they dont tend to do very much, at least on a regular basis.  What is interesting here is the use of the 'nets', not only as a backdrop (well it is a sports brand after all) but also as a means of 'plinths' for their window products.  We will keep checking back to see if this changes over the next few months and include their windows if (but hopefully when) they change again.

This brand often have quite interesting installations in their windows although we're never quite sure what they are actually about?  It seems at least that these pieces slightly sit in isolation of anything else and therefore appear quite arbitrary rather than having any particular meaning or use (from a Visual Merchandising perspective at least).  Still, its always intersting to see what they do nonetheless.

Isabel Marant, London

We do find ourselves slighting willing this brand to do something else with their windows (we have seen some great schemes from their various stores in the past).  That said, there is a lot of thought evident through their website with the direction of their schemes and they do have quite a cool website.  Apparently this scheme is a "fun, airy, pop installation designed by Arnold Goron" which uses "translucent, iridescent kite paper leaves, mischievously bringing to life the sky at Isabel Marant".  If you say so Arnold.

We love the schemes at Hermes as they always do some interesting installations.  However, we're not actually quite sure what the directive is for this installation (does anyone know?).   We'd probably guess something such as 'travel' with their tented creation and what appears as a small boat enhanced with product although we could quite make out the other windows.  Still, looking great as always.

Etro, London

This is an interesting direction for this brand.  We've never not seen mannequins in their windows so this amazing flora installation is a welcomed change.  Obviously there is a 'push' for their handbags and small accessories although having the lush foliage and capuchins (we guess) helps to invigorate their schemes at their store along Bond street.

We love what this brand does with their windows and their latest installation for SS18 is aptly named 'Urban Forest'.  Working in conjunction with the lovely team at www.tenn-ltd.com the windows have been painted in a raw concrete grey with the repetition of these stripped and sanded Birch wood blanks.  As always, all so beautifully executed.

This is another brand which we knew nothing about previously and following a cursory glance across the internet we discover what amazing products they have.  Eyewear is not something we normally include here as there is so little out there which is interesting to show to you, however,  working in conjunction with the team at www.dfrost.com the brand recently took part in the MIDO trade fair in Milan with this amazing stand containing 900 carefully selected plants and a heritage wall to celebrate the brands history together with their amazing products.

One of the wonderful things about writing these entries is that we come across so many interesting brands which we never knew previously existed, and some like this one have an amazing history.  Founded back in 1956 (and is still a family owned business, now on their third generation) this skincare brand is clearly one to look out for wherever you are in the world.  Working in conjunction with www.dfrost.com the team have produced this fantastic Easter Egg, inspired by the 2018 colour trends and contains small ampoules of product.

We often lament that humour is so missing from retail store windows and actually when we look at some schemes they just ooze 'photoshop' and there is very little organic development evident out there.  However, Zegna yet again appear to be bucking the trend and as usual some great (and much appreciated) humour has been injected into their scheme and with huge doses of 'old school'; someone in the 'know' is designing these.  Look and learn other brands, look and learn.
