Daks, London

We really want to love what this brand does in their windows although we can only ever bring ourselves to just about like it (not that it matters anyway of course).  The windows on occasion are actually very interesting and although while this one does tie in particularly well with their SS15 campaign and therefore a campaign-led scheme, it is of great quality although it still looks a little flat, don't you think?  Or, are we being mean?  Perhaps the campaign itself is one which is over used, after all how often have scenes of Italian and French towns been used over the years so perhaps we are just looking for something a little less ordinary from which ideas for windows can be developed in order to grab our attention.  Lets get some cleverness with product and humour back into windows?

Prada, London

Unfortunately our images make this Prada scheme look rather dull although in reality these masters of amazing colour combinations have yet again worked their magic.  The false perspectives here look amazing as usual but it will  require that you go and have a look for yourself to really appreciate what these guys do.

Joseph, London

In conjunction with the pending Chelsea Flower show, Joseph have recently launched their Marni Flower Market at their store along Fulham Road here in the centre of it all.  The installation is an interpretation of Marni's SS15 20th Anniversary which took place in the 18th Century Rotunda Della Besana's colonnaded gardens in Milan alongside their catwalk show.  Joesph are also launching an in store pop up flower stall by Roni Fleurs which will be directly behind their windows and visible as you enter the store.  The pop-up launches today and until 23rd May.

Banana Republic, London

Sustainability of course is on the lips of any brand who wants to tap into the savvy shopper and as we are finding from our own research even the 'digital natives' want a slice.  This is a very bold and yet very welcomed move from this Global brand which appears to have become rather more 'Glocal'.  Finally a brand which is tapping into the vibe around it and a localised sensitivity adopted.  We have a feeling that we will see this brand around for a lot longer than we previously thought and great to see it is recognising that some of us do actually care about the environment and presentations don't always have to be super glossy to be effective.  Lo-tech is great too.  Big kudos to Banana we think.

Lanvin, London

We are slightly bemused and yet intrigued by this window at Lanvin.  We hasten to add that this isn't a Lanvin bashing day as actually this is definitely one of their best windows here in the centre of it all.  However we aren't actually sure quite what is going on.  Does it matter?  Probably not.  Beyond the torturous positions the mannequins are in we don't know quite what to say.  Go and check them out and tell us your thoughts?  Just go, go on.

D-Squared, London

Wow, well the new D-Squared store has landed along Conduit street and very magnificent it looks too.  This site of course has been the kiss of death of so many brands over time including one of its former occupants JC De Castelbajac but hopefully while it is opposite the likes of Westwood and the temporary Dior store which was also the old Mandarina Duck and then Layers store (while their site in the old Nicole Farhi store is renovated) it will do well and breathe some like into this fickle end of the street.  We also noticed that Issey Miyake have also moved on now to their site opposite Fenwick. but then John Vavartos has moved into the old Belstaff site so its all change around time.  With their brightly coloured graphics and blazing Red and Yellow merchandise in what are enormous windows, this brand is looking phenomenal and hopefully will be a significant anchor at this end of Mayfair.

White Stuff, London

We haven't included this brand before but wow what great windows..!  In collaboration with the creative team at White Stuff Clothing those clever guys at http://www.ccolour.co.uk have created these SS15 windows with beautifully coloured strings of cups using an amazing 50,000 of them, paper straws and brightly coloured barbecue grills and equipment.  Wherever you are in the UK you should be able to see this scheme locally to you.  Do check out White Stuffs website too; this is one of the few brands on the high street who are putting something back into our society through their White Stuff Foundation so certainly worth checking them out if you are an informed shopper.  We are all going to have to make an effort in the future and if its not part of a brands agenda right now then will soon have to be.  Great to see this brand future proofing.

The amazingly avant garde fashion house Viktor & Rolf recently launched a pop up space for their latest fragrance Bon Bon with over sized canvas bows and a stunning sculpture to highlight their perfumes key ingredients within the incredible Selfridges department store.  The guys at Elemental Design have yet again created a phenomenal installation inspired by the classic sweet shop with the product presented as confectionery.  The perfume itself has been created by Serge Maioullier and Cecille Matton and described as 'Floriental'.

Salvatore Ferragamo, London

Good old Salvatore Ferragamo don't usually have the most innovative windows (although we wish they would have) but there is a certain something about them that communicates their superb quality.  We're guessing that as the shopping demographic becomes ever more thinly sliced their generic windows are an attempt to appeal to a wider audience.  We don't have inside information, this is just how it appears from the outside looking in.  Delicious colours used here in these windows however.

Ermenegildo Zegna, London

We are huge fans of the superb quality of this brand and the thought and detail that they put into their products.  Highlighting also the craftsmanship of their offer their latest scheme contains the repetition of giant sewing needles drawing our eyes into the centre of the space.  Beautifully produced, absolutely in line with the kind of thing we normally see at the likes of LV, this brands schemes keeps us coming back time and time again.

Valentino, London

Your eyes are the eyes of a woman in love.....really?  We do like a bit of neon and in conjunction with their new look of course Valentino is looking very hot right now.  If you haven't seen their NYC store along 5th avenue then it is definitely a must see for your list, although in the meantime pop along to Sloane street here in the centre of it all and at least give yourself a little taster.  While of course the artisan quality of their product is absolutely superb, the brand itself always looked rather dated.  But not anymore.  Someone has injected new life into the brand and its looking so good on every front.  Now, repeat, I am a strong and confident woman and I have the eyes of a woman in love.......

Tods, London

Tods always produce such quality schemes and this one is no exception.  We do like the repetition of what appears to be almost a mood board-style back drop to their product in conjunction with these triangulated tables and possibly steel shoe presenters.  This is not the most innovative or exciting scheme that we've seen from this brand but the use of colour is very well done..

Hermes, London

We are not entirely sure how we describe this amazing scheme at Hermes as we do want to be super positive about the exquisite workmanship employed here.  We are guessing that this is based on historical architecture as we sort of recognise the Crystal Palace in the image furthest below (is that correct?) and clearly something Italian above?  We did have a cursory glance through their website which incidentally is superb although we cant find any references to this scheme (maybe we've missed it?)  Anyway, wonderful craftsmanship here and 'bits' of humour thrown in which keeps this brand at the forefront of our minds and we just have to go back time and time again to see what they will do next.
