Issey Miyake, London

We have always adored the products at Issey Miyake as they ooze that wonderful Japanese essence of style.  The windows at their London store of course don't always scream at us, although in this case they did nudge us a little to include them.  With their architectural looking product installation using gravitational product handling dynamics the brands' simple presentation is rather understated.

Burberry, London

We kind of like this scheme at Burberry right now although we do really, really want to love it.  We are not big old fans of motifs being used in window schemes as you probably know, and well, to be honest, ya know if we were to really, really tell it like it is then we do avoid them with a passion (we thought it would nicer to say that than 'we hate it')  The schemes saving grace however are the multitude of layers and the reveals that capture a variety of views through the window space.  We are guessing these are flowers although they could be four leafed clovers?

Dior, London

Have you seen the new Dior store along Conduit street yet?  This site has seen so many brands come and go, latterly Mandarina Duck with their giant Yellow man and then the super cool Layers concept fashion store.  So, here you go, the latest Dior store with their tropical plants and scaffolding with a bit of neon thrown in; strangely it actually works incredibly well in 'real life'.

Moschino, London

We rather like this scheme at Moschino right now.  We can hear the gasps as we type this.  Yes, we like it, there, we said it.  What do you like about we hear you ask?  OK, well, we do enjoy the pop art movement which the product here is clearly referencing and therefore the brand have installed a product-led scheme with their usual out-sized props, although in this case the quality is clearly in place.  Great fun scheme.

Hackett in collaboration with London College of Fashion

If you happen to be either along Regent street, Jermyn street, Sloane Square, Covent Garden or just about anywhere in London where there is a Hackett store then do go and have a look at their latest installation.  In collaboration with B.A.(Hons) Fashion Visual Merchandising students at London College of Fashion the latest installation celebrates the new Rising Stars of our industry.  Each student was challenged to create a personality based on the various customer demographic of the Hackett brand and from The Thinking Man, The Artful Charmer, The Urban Gentleman...the list goes on, the students have created these absolutely brilliant personalities.  Collaborations of course are absolutely of the moment right now and this really does demonstrate the team at Hackett's avant garde thinking and fresh approach to Visual Merchandising and how this can be interpreted.  Brilliant stuff.

Uterque, Dubai

We have never seen or heard of this brand before now but what an effort these guys have made.  We are not massive fans of shopping malls per se but here in Dubai it is a necessary evil as it is so incredibly hot; and its winter...!  Anyway, with tonnes of gravitational product handling dynamics and super props these guys are looking rather cool don't you think? (cu'mon guys lets get some feedback here...!)  In the meantime we are heading back to Europe, London and its dreary weather to bring you the latest gorgeous bits on the high street before heading off to Paris, France.  Just watch this space.

Dior, Dubai

If you are unsure how to accessorize that new frock then why not get yourself a crash helmet?  OK, well it is possibly unrealistic but then luxury brands are leading the way and put these concepts 'out there' which simply either amuse us, challenge us or offer new solutions.

Fendi, Dubai

How do you feel about this scheme?  We felt that the product is sort of enclosed within a kind of three dimensional parentheses which highlights its importance.  Of course we also have the vertical lines which lead the eye up and down through the space.  Or, have these guys run out of ideas?  Who knows?  Anyway, a simple scheme either way and pleasantly produced.

Lanvin, Dubai

Bizarre is the only word to describe this scheme?  It is fun of course and one of the better schemes we have seen from this brand in a long time.  Half human, half packaging.  You really couldn't make this stuff up.   Great colours though and good to see some thought has gone into their presentation.

Laboutin, Dubai

A slightly odd scheme for a shoe brand although great fun nonetheless.  At Laboutin we were rather drawn to this little gem of bicycle, tricycles and tandem.  Simple stuff really and kind of Circus-like.  We weren't so sure about the shoes on the peddles though?  What you do think?

Hermes, Dubai

We do love these big window spaces here in the Dubai Mall, although no doubt these are really hard work to manage and tonnes of time spent on implementation.  Here at Hermes, skiers appear to be flying through clouds rather than snow right in among these Silver birches.  OK, its a little unrealistic if we think too hard about it although it does actually work incredibly we we thought from a visual perspective?

John Lobb, Dubai

Wow, what a great scheme here at John Lobb.  Men's shoes sadly are usually the poor relation of the products when it comes to presentation, but clearly not for much longer.  There is a John Lobb store in London although we have never seen such a great installation there as we have here.  Of course what is difficult to appreciate in a still image is that there is movement here as the hands emulate the craftsmanship and attention to detail that this product obviously has.  It is a little reminiscent of the 'Elves and the Shoemaker', but what the hell, it looks fantastic.

Scotch and Soda, Dubai

We have seen this scheme back in London on our travels and do love this kind of colour swatch effect that the guys have created here.  A very simple scheme and so easy to transport around the world yet has quite a lot of impact, don't you think?  A good example of the gravitational and radiation format of product handling dynamics.
