It must be that time of year again, yep, the holiday season is upon us once again.  Time to dust off the flora and exotica and fill the windows across town.  It is slightly unusual to see Brown coloured and ghostly White exotic leaves although a it does make a refreshing change nonetheless.  It might be time though, perhaps to rethink this season otherwise it will just become another Valentines equivalent with Red and Heart motifs everywhere.

Delvaux, London

We've been wondering for a long while what the history of these windows are at Delvaux, does anyone know?   It is such unusual to have these decorative, possibly Bronze (?) framed windows here in London which have been set within larger rectangular frames.  We remember it being a shoe shop before Delvaux moved in although they had obviously just inherited the same space.  Please do let us know if you know any information.  In the meantime, the current scheme, based on the various components which create their gorgeous products is Delvaux right now.

We rarely look at the windows at this brand and feel that wow factor although this scheme even in its simplicity is actually very effective.  It looks like someone has just joined the team and knows exactly where to take the windows schemes (well possibly anyway).  We don't know what the influence is here although we're guessing this scheme has been inspired by the work of an Artist?

This is quite a simple scheme by this brands' standards although it is of course in the main seasonal colour right now.  Also,  there is the amazing exhibition happening which we mentioned a few days ago which is right around the corner from their Sloane Square store and if you haven't booked your ticket yet then do try as it really is spectacular.  Images from the exhibition can be seen on our Instagram page through the link below.

There isn't a lot for us to mention in the scheme although we have to say how much we love the new products' colour palette.  Apparently the colours are Lavande and Citron - well they would be wouldn't they.  As always this super quality range come at a price although you can always purchase the iridescent stickers for just £35.

Weekday, London

We seem to be picking up a kind of Kerplunk vibe from this scheme although in this instance we have the merchandise rather than the marbles.  This is quite an interesting scheme nonetheless although we would have probably used less merchandise and had it purpose built so that it doesn't look like one of those cages that carry large amounts of product around supermarkets with some sticks added.  Interesting concept though.

Burberry, London

We really do love the Burberry store in Knightsbridge here in the centre of it all although it is quite a nightmare to capture the windows there.  We have therefore included the same scheme below although these windows are at the fabulous Harrods department store further along the road.  We have quickly searched for the product in the windows here, particularly the scarf and the Bambi props (although they probably refer to this as a Deer) to make a link although their website is not very clear what this is all about?

This is quite a departure from the usual super glamorous spaces and places we normally see in the windows at this store along Bond Street.  Clearly there is a huge push on Polo shirts.  We cant remember the last time we saw large format graphics in a luxury brand although he we have them.

Diesel, London

We do love a bit of Denim although as we now know, it's not so good on the environment and can take huge amounts of natural resources (i.e. water) for a small end result.  That said, the windows and products here are superb and just look at this installation.  It is a slightly creepy long legged Rabbit squashed into a small space but it looks so interesting nonetheless.

Japan House, London

We've included here recently some quite interesting strategies which retailers have been using to encourage us back onto the high street.  These have ranged from collaborations with Artists to talks in store.  Another way in which retailers are enticing us include ones like this, exhibition spaces and installations.  Here at Japan House a whole floor is dedicated to this exhibition space which is really worth checking out if you can get to High Street Kensington.
