Thankfully new schemes are emerging and as we would expect at this time of year, some good old fashioned references to the big diary date, Valentines. Not all retailers embrace this event each year although as always references to heart motifs remain popular. This brand in particular have produced some notable installations and this one looks particularly great.

This month is always a but dull for retail store window installations across the high street while everyone clears out their old products and Red Sale signs fill otherwise wonderfully creative spaces. This brand however have installed a much welcomed installation which is truly warming and most welcomed. Beautiful tones of colour, think Sugar Almonds with a touch of Gold and inspiring and uplifting messages. This is just what we need right now.

Versace, London
We love a bit of iridescent fabric and this window has it in abundance. While we continue our search in the currently barren wasteland that is London right now we have happened on a few bits in the oasis known as Bond street. Thankfully, luxury brands are beginning to install their new schemes so we should have a few more visuals and be able to post rather more regularly than we have been able to do recently. In the meantime, here's Versace.

Burberry, London
Digital screens are not easy to capture although even in its simplicity this scheme looks quite impressive. Large digital screens of much bluer skys than London has right now fill this space with product placed in repetition and gravitational formats. While this is probably not the most exciting scheme ever we do have to mention that its still a tough time for retailers so we're pleasantly surprised that anyone is even able to do anything at all and that this scheme is a welcomed relief from the lack of anything else visual out there right now.

Louis Vuitton, London
Wow, wow and wow. Just look at this incredible scheme at LV right now. While the rest of London looks comparitively shabby within the context of retail store windows at least, this one is shinning so brightly that its blinding. Fantastic dynamics, very little product and wonderful narrative, its got it all. There may be a greater story behind this however from what we can deduce, the current scheme is based on the game of chess and just look at the wonderful perspectives and distortions to the chequered style that they've used. Wonderful mannequins too.

Tiffany, London
With so much of the high street still in the Sale period, as we would expect, there are still, mercifully a few brands who are launching their latest schemes and naturally its the luxury sector who are our go-to's. Its no surprise that this brand have installed such a beautiful scheme to launch 2022 and as usual the Queens of all things minaiture have done it again with this little beauty. We have no idea what the narrative is although we dont really mind either, its just great to see something creative again.

Canada Goose, London
We're not usually fans of these types of brands, ya know, fur an' all that. However, we did actually launch these images first across all of our other social media and it has actually been received rather well and perhaps we are being persuaded too. Anyway, this is rather a great scheme and use use of the hand written-like graphics does work well with a bit a new age White too. They're are doing some interesting things but until they drop the fur we wont be making any purchases any day soon.

There are some small snippets of creativity out there although at this time of year they are very hard to find. This is not unusual of course. This scheme, is, perhaps not the most exciting thing we have seen although the ice-like boxes/podiums are very apt for this time of year. What else can we say really? Hopefully things will pick up again shortly.

Leigh Bowery: Tell Them I've Gone to Papua New Guinea, London
As there is so little out there on the high street that's visual we've been looking around for some inspiration for potential retail store windows. If you were around London during the late 80's and early 90's you would have probably come across the likes of Leigh Bowery. We first became aware of him during a production of Because we Must by the super talented Micheal Clark at the Sadlers Well Theatre in 1987 and subsequently through the nightlub scene of the time. If you have a moment do investigate this tiny snapshot of the period with a wonderful video narrative which include anecdotes from people who knew him well. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/leigh-bowery-tell-them-ive-gone-to-papua-new-guinea-tickets-223359483227

Emporio Armani, London
We've seen a lot of collaborations over the years and this usually involves ones with brands and various Artists (with the exception of course of H&M) however it is quite interesting to see two similar-ish brands come together to produce work and in this case we have Emporio Armani and C.P. Company (Both celebrating milestone anniversaries, 40 and 50 years respectively). While neither brand is particularly interesting to look at the quality of the products is beautiful.
