This brand always produces some interesting schemes although they do tend to be designed along the same lines each time, i.e. an abstract shaped prop in the centre of the window.  We guess its just their thing.  Naturally everything that they do is superbly produced although we can't help but find ourselves willing them to do something a bit more meaningful.

Max Mara, London

This is yet another very elegant installation from this brand and their store along Bond street.  Classical columns with a twist, quite literally, create the context for their latest scheme.  As always the mannequins are beautifully presented although they have had these in for some time now and perhaps its time for a change?

We cant quite remember if this brand have changed their window scheme recently as its been so long since we have wandered around the West End of London, however this super luxury brand is rocking the floral look right now with jewel coloured blocks in a symmetrical format.

We're seeing a lot of digital technology in retail store windows right now across the high street rather than a lot of propping which we guess is a result of the current pandemic.  It will be quite interesting to see if this continues although we do hope that the visual merchandisers skills won't be lost as a result.  While of course technology is useful we do hope that generations of visual merchandising skills and information wont be lost as a result.

This brand really do spoil us with their schemes and even though we are all going through such a difficult time right now globally, clearly their teams have worked hard to maintain the consistency of delivery which we are accustomed to seeing.  We're trying to think of the technology applied here as we have seen and experienced something similar which measures brainwaves and maps the sensations from our taste buds.  Anyway, thankfully the luxury brands along Bond street here in the centre of it all have managed to pull off new installations which we can share with you over the coming weeks.

We have really missed looking at the schemes at the brand as they always produce such interesting window installations.  We don't really know what this scheme is about although we are so pleased to replenish ourselves with this creativity that we don't really mind.  The centre of London looks like a ghost town right now (ok. well, not quite that dramatic) although we cant actually recall a time when we have previously seen it so empty.

It has taken so long for us to return to some kind of normality but we're finally able to bring you some window scheme updates on a more regular basis, well, at least for now.  We did try to capture windows back in July although sadly after lockdown most stores went straight into Sale and we have lost some of the retailers out there on the high street.  Thankfully this brand never lets us down with their amazing schemes here at their Knighstbridge area of London.

Sadly this brand never really add huge elements of Visual Merchandising to their windows although there are usually some interesting subtleties which are worth noting such as the details on the bust forms' fabric which matches the product as well as the partial backdrop to the scheme.

We don't often walk along this street here in London's Soho and usually keep to the main thoroughfare of Regent street, however there are some hidden gems out there worth exploring such as this brand on Brewer street which we happened upon recently while in search of the latest in store windows.  While not the most lavish scheme - we are grateful for anything visual - the old school props drew us in to take a closer look.

From this one small window we have seen some really interesting schemes from this brand although it is quite difficult to pinpoint exactly what their style is apart from the use of large format graphics.  While we are not a fan of graphics ourselves this brand do use them creatively and to be honest we are actually relieved to find any visual merchandising at the moment so this is a welcomed visual relief.

You may remember some of the amazing work within the windows at Harvey Nichols and of course Anya Hindmarch a few months ago which we shared with you based on references to craft and natural materials.  We cant remember if this scheme was installed pre-lockdown or not however, either way, here we have clear references, albeit in a slightly different format to the same trend we demonstrated all those months ago.  With the recent  global events this year being such a significant disruptor, only time will tell where inspiration for retail store windows will lead us next.
