Chanel, London

With the freezing weather here in London this is a warming sight.  The floor has been covered with Sand, punctuated with these wire framed pillars (we're guessing Roman) and tiny Blue twinkling lights.  The scheme is slightly biblical looking although it is a welcomed relief in an otherwise cold climate.

Fendi, London

The heart hand gesture has been with us for a while now, popularised by the likes of Taylor Swift, although we've never actually spotted it being used in a window scheme.  Great props from this staggering brand of course and thank goodness luxury houses dont promote the Sale period otherwise this week would be filled with entries in Red and White.

As we are in between seasonal promotions, naturally there are a lot of fairly abstract schemes out there on the high street right now.  This one at Longchamp of course is no exception.  With the repetition of these interesting feathered forms in a radiation dynamic, the brands windows at least look quite interesting and give us something to show to you.

Burberry, London

We're loving the use of the seemingly 'found' materials which we have spotted at Burberry during 2017.  With so many stores to consider the VM department must have a nightmare of a job sourcing and filling their vast window spaces around the world with new an innovative schemes.  With a slight nod (we hope at least) to sustainability or at least an interesting juxtaposition between 'found' materials and luxury products the schemes at this brand just get ever more interesting.

Fortnum and Mason, London

With their  strap line "A party in every cup", Fortnum and Mason are promoting some of their gorgeous teas with the use of these incredibly fun pops.  Giant teapots deftly crafted in a multitude of materials makes us feel glad to be back home in London; well where else can you get a decent cup of tea in the world?

Mansur Gavriel, New York

This is a new and welcomed discovery for us; Mansur Gavriel.  There are only two stores in New York and this one along Madison Avenue is, well, extremely Pink.  Selling small leather goods and ready-to-wear, all beautifully and luxuriously produced of course this is one to drop by to visit and experience.  We're heading back to London now for the dreaded Sale window schemes so we will catch up with you on the flip side.  Its been fun New York...!

Buscemi, New York

We had never heard of this brand previously and were rather drawn into the space because of this ferociously patterned carpet and paint tins stacked in a pyramidal format.  Selling beautiful products from bags to wallets this is an enormous space which strangely works so incredibly well.  The day we visited was freezing cold and the heating in store had broken down but the guys here were so welcoming and friendly and we appreciated them allowing us to take images of the space to share with you.

Bliss by Urs Fischer, New York

We were slightly bemused when we came across this installation within a commercial space - but then thats New York for you.  Digging a little deeper we discovered that this is actually a sculpture of Katy Perry by the Swiss Artist Urs Fischer.  Underneath the head are a range of coloured clays which visitors can apply to the sculpture inviting everyone to modify the artists original work.  If you want to see more of this check it out through the link here https://news.artnet.com/exhibitions/katy-perry-urs-fischer-sculpture-1158047

Pas de Calais, New York

This is another discovery for us here in New York.  Just check out that ceiling..!  Pas de Calais is a Japanese brand who's aesthetic we adore.  The merchandise is of course beautifully produced as one would expect.  With only a few stores (NYC, Paris and Tokyo) this one place to check out before they become really big although it is also worth scanning across their website too.  We believe that some of their collection is available in stores such as Liberty, London but best to check this out for yourself.

Calvin Klein, New York

We included the window scheme from this brand before the seasonal holidays although we wanted to share this incredible interior space too.  While we are not a fan of the colour Yellow (there's probably a very posh name for this particular shade) although it does make an incredibly bold statement.  Complete with scaffolding and all sorts of textured materials this is an incredibly immersive experience.

Lie Sangbong, New York

We're back in New York for a few days so that we can bring you some of the delights which don't have anything to do with Christmas (there's nothing worse than showing Christmas schemes after the event has happened, right?).  Here in the Meatpacking district is the Lie Sangbong store.  This is yet another discovery for us although the South Korean designer is clearly very well known within the Fashion industry and we were drawn in of course by the simple yet impactful window scheme.  This is a relatively small store although with their bust forms in a gravitational format suspended from these coloured cables it certainly does make a statement.
