Gina, London

We did pass by this scheme during the hotter weather here in London although it seemed to have slipped back under our radar until now at least.  Rocking the tropical-look which is slightly odd now that London appears to be entering the Autumnal period (or fall if you are reading this state side).  Large tropical leaves have been used to present the product dontcha know and great to see this brand changing their schemes as often as they seem to be doing (well sort of).  We don't expect them to install a back-to-school scheme any day soon but hopefully a new installation will follow shortly to reflect the seasonal changes.

Chanel, London

There are clearly multiple uses for Tin foil it seems.  To be fair however this installation does actually look quite interesting when photographed and the space-like feeling of the window which reflects everything else around it does look impressive on a larger scale.  We just can't get the usual uses of this material out of our minds but will let you decide what you think.

Etro, London

If you pop along to Bond street right now you can still see this scheme and wow, in the Grey London light this scheme really does look like a beacon of hope among the dire offerings currently available  with regards to Visual Merchandising and retail store windows around town.  We don't like to talk London down although we do try to tell it like it is and, well, London looks terrible.  There are some sparks out there but generally its rubbish.  Thankfully here at Etro, the sight of the colours used is appreciated and while we have found a few interesting 'bits' to show you this week there really is nothing show stopping.  London needs to do what it does best and get a fricking grip.

Stradivarius, London

Apparently Dreams Do come True after all.  Stradivarius appear to be changing their schemes on a weekly basis (well versions of the same thing at least) so as we post this it may have changed already.   Still, this is one to look at for you, well there's isn't much else happening out there on a regular basis right now sadly.  Fingers crossed things will pick up again in London soon.  As we teeter on the edge of Fashion Week we are at least living in hope.

Longchamp, London

This is one of those schemes where we need to dig a little deeper although we're still not absolutely sure if its one of those abstract schemes that so many brands implement or whether this references some of their limited edition products?  Who knows? (although to be fair we've only given their website a cursory glance).  Still, we expect this has gone global and no doubt easy enough for you to view yourself and perhaps try to work out what it all means, if anything?

Fendi, London

There's nothing like a bit of fun in a store window (even better with clever humour of course).  Fendi have installed their latest scheme and thankfully this week has been a great one for spotting some  interesting windows.  Its not often we see mannequins on a bicycle, and of course, as usual two come along.  A fairly simple scheme here for this brand although fortunately at least, they have installed something new for us to show to you.

Hermes, London

Wow, Hermes have done it again and just look at this scheme here at their Bond street store.  Actually one of the great things we've noticed about this installation is the use of the plywood (backdrop) applied here which ties in very nicely with the current exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum and of course the latest Joseph installation which we included recently.  Semi-transparent coloured vinyl has been applied to the fenestration and the scheme includes what appears to be a moving rail (this wasn't switched on when we visited so we can only assume it moves but have included some close-ups for you below so that you understand what we are talking about).

Schuh, London

This was a surprise find this week and a brand we have never included here.  We do look across a whole range of retailers on our travels and often its very difficult to find anything particular noteworthy although this scheme is quite a corker.  OK, well there is an awful lot of product in this scheme which is a shame although given the current climate they absolutely have the right strategy in implementing a show stopping scheme when everyone else is taking the large format graphic-look.

Riani, Germany

We've never come across this brand previously so its always great to find something new to share with you.  If you aren't familiar with them either, they are a German brand which was started in 1968 by the clearly talented Jurgen Buckenmaier.  Do check out their website as their stores are quite beautifully designed and great to see some exciting things coming from across Germany.

Brunello Cucinelli, London

With references to, we guess the Summer holiday season, with a hint of Safari, this brand as always steadily and continually implement their schemes with some thought and care.  Ok, well its not the most exciting scheme we have ever seen, although it does what it does and right now we can appreciate any brand that makes an effort to entice us into their store.

Burberry, London

We're trying to be really positive about what we write here and on the one hand we were looking at this scheme and attempting to celebrate perhaps that it communicates a wonderful sense of purity although to be honest with you, we find ourselves stifling a great big yawn.  We're feeling a little exasperated with the high street at the moment although we don't wish to be negative.  The value of these windows can't be underestimated and it is such a shame that there is nothing inspiring to view.  If we say nothing then we have to accept everything as if it is ok - its not.

Asprey, London

Do you remember when this brand always looked so exciting and fresh?  We've included this scheme just to highlight that barely nothing has changed for months and months- possibly well over a year - (ok, well the product has moved around a bit and the odd graphic).  It is such a shame to see an historical brand placed right in the centre of it all on some of the worlds most expensive property sites no longer doing anything.  We have scoured our archives of images and found some real corkers in these windows but everything appears so generic and flat and we find ourselves on a weekly basis willing them do something.  We know they read this site, so c'mon guys lets inject a bit of interest into these windows and finally change this scheme, please?
