Along the iconic Melrose Avenue here in Los Angeles is the fantastic luggage brand 'Away' and the UK-based creative design agency, Just So have recently designed and realised this incredible brands West Coast expansion.  Inspired by the L.A. vibe, this stunning store complete with polished statuario Quartz and bespoke 45-degree angled mirrored walls,  its no wonder that this brand is a favourite of the glitterati.

Art Deco Architecture, Miami

In our final entry of the fabulous Miami we thought it would be interesting to show some of the amazing Art Deco hotels (OK, not exactly retail store windows but great for inspiration nonetheless) as well as the former home (above) of the incredibly talented Gianni Versace (who would have been 70 this year) and who tragically died on the steps of his former mansion (now a restaurant) right on the beach front.  The hotels here vary in size and the colours are staggering particularly in the Pink/Orange daylight in this part of the world.  We're making our way back to Grey Old London and of course will bring you the latest schemes from across the city.

Isabel Marant, Miami

We included this brands windows back in London recently although strangely we have never been inside any of their stores, until now.  We were drawn in because of this incredible seating installation at the centre of the space.  It actually looks like a shaggy dog, albeit a very large one, although its great fun and forms a fantastic focal point within the space.

Christian Louboutin, Miami

There's nothing like a fantastic Louboutin scheme to lift the spirits.  Even with the intensity of the daylight here this scheme really does POP.  Just a few products punctuate this scheme as one would expect from a luxury brand and we seem to remember seeing this scheme elsewhere around the world via social media although we hadn't seen it in the 'flesh' ourselves until now.

Hermes, Miami

Hermes is always in our top 10 brands to have a look at during our travels and just look at the props here.  As with the Loewe store, this one is situated within the Design District of Miami and is quite a large space for this brand.  Of course as the daylight and heat here are so intense these windows were difficult to capture however hopefully you can see the amazing out-sized food props in their scheme.

Loewe, Miami

This is our absolute favourite store in Miami's Design District and just look at this installation.  We did manage to glean that this is an historical piece from Gallaecia in Spain, was used for storage some time in its life and the brand apparently have it temporarily for the use in their store.  There are no window installations here but then when you drive passed here at night time, as you can see directly into the space, this looks quite magnificent stretching through the length of the interior.  This is definitely one to check out if you can.  Stunning.

Aristocrazy, Miami

This is probably an independent store as its the only one we have seen here in Miami and great to see that they have invested in some decent Visual Merchandising given how small this store is.  With the tropical heat here it is of course very fitting that references to this are included in the windows and also great to see a little bit of neon to lift the scheme.

The Webster, Miami

The intense day light here and the tropical weather seems to be our enemy in this amazing city and so unfortunately the windows of The Webster were highly reflective given their position here in the Bal Harbour outside mall.  However, hopefully you can see that this schemes main influence is the tropical trend we've shown you previously around the world with their cut out leaves of exotic flora.

100% Capri, Miami

Its been a very long time since we saw water being used in a window scheme, possibly early 90's?  However, here at 100% Capri this forms a major part of this scheme and we suspect is also a regular part of the windows anyway.  Although this area we are in, Bal Harbour, appears to be a slightly dying part of the city as the design district seems to be taking centre stage now with the opening of the huge Tom Ford, Givenchy, Hermes stores moving in there (we will show you some of these  shortly) there are at least still some interesting stores here (although it was very quiet the day we visited).  Incidentally, if you are not familiar with this brand, they sell a range of luxury clothing and home ware.

A Pea in the Pod, Miami

We don't know this brand and suspect that this is the only store?  Who knows?  We were drawn in because of the window props here.  We're guessing that this is a maternity wear store (the clue is in the mannequins) however what is great to see is how they have made so much effort with their installation with their dipped and rolled paper in this gravitational format.

Restoration Hardware, Miami

Restoration Hardware is another one of those brands that we always make a beeline for in New York whenever we visit, so to find this brand here in Miami is a particular treat.  The aesthetic of the products in their cool minimal tones is quite something to experience.  Who here is buying this stuff we don't know although as with West Elm is just impossible to buy these products via their website as they don't ship to the UK.  Grrrrr.  In the meantime we will just have to see if there is anything suitcase sized which we can purchase.

Missoni, Miami

We always look at the London store for this brand and slightly sigh as we pass it as they never seem to do anything interesting in their window spaces.  Here in Miami (this store is also much, much bigger that the one in London) they have, even during the Sale period at least made an effort with their Graffiti spray cans, bust prop and stacked tropical graphic.  Great to see that not all stores for this brand are the same too.

West Elm, Miami

Homeware is something that the US always do so amazingly well and wherever we travel in this vast country we always like to check out these kinds of stores in search of products we can never find elsewhere.  Situated in the Uber cool Design District here in Miami this is huge store offers amazing and beautifully crafted furniture and accessories which sadly are not available in the UK or the Dubai stores where we usually frequent. Do stock up here if you visit and send back to your own country yourself as they don't ship outside of the U.S.
