This is an interesting new direction at Burberry with beautiful shades of pink and quite an architectural backdrop structure. It did strike us that the brand were looking more Prada than Burberry (and we love what Prada do) as this is the kind of installation that they would produce? Sale has been perfectly underplayed here which as usual is a relief and we guess we will see where they go over the coming months with their windows.

Fendi, London
Always so far ahead, it still seems strange seeing products a season in advance particularly when its so cold, but thats the way it is. This is quite a simple scheme with the use of the grassy flooring and 'concrete' back drop punctuated with hints of neon although this installation really glows beautifully across Bond street right now.

Moncler, London
Thank goodness for luxury brands and their new schemes otherwise we would have to show you blanked out windows from the mid range brands. It is extraordinary what this brand manage to get into their window spaces at their store in London as they are relatively small (at least compared to the store in Paris) and once again we are seeing more references to creatures in windows, in this case life sized Beluga (we're guessing as they are White) filling the space behind the mannequins.

Louis Vuitton, London
This is one brand that never has a Sale, of course, which is fortunate for us as much of the high street is looking a little 'scrappy' right now. The brand tend to favour the use of animals in their schemes although apart from their Christmas scheme we haven't seen any for a while however it is refreshing to view these extraordinary creatures that look rather menacing in their hybridized forms. The snarling, manic creatures fill the space at their Bond Street Maison with an LV logo backdrop and of course minimal products.

Corneliani, London
We often pass this store although unfortunately they generally tend to use odd shaped fixtures in their schemes but this one did draw us in as it is quite a departure from their usual suited mannequins-style installations. Using a 'curtain' of threads in a repetition format it is quite a relief to view schemes like this at this time of year.

Swarovski, London
We're back in a freezing cold London for a quick pit stop before looking at some of the delights in the Middle East - we are trying to keep Sale schemes to a minimum, because, well lets face it, these are not the most exciting schemes, right? However, Swarovski have a least made an effort thankfully with the use of these mirrored balloons to create a narrative that even Tiffany might be proud of.

Ralph Pucci, New York

We sadly missed this installation at Ralph Pucci on our travels around New York which was such a shame and if you did too then here's a snapshot for you. The Mesdames collection which recently debuted at their amazing showroom features their stunning mannequins dressed in custom made clothing from the first Ralph Pucci collection which have been surrounded by murals and paintings by the super talented Rebecca Moses. Moses has used the mannequins as 'a medium for telling stories which reflect today's heterogeneous border-less global culture in which women of all colours and ethnicities freely embrace their uniqueness and imperfectly perfect physical characteristics and style'.

Samsung Lab, New York
This really is our final entry on New York as we head off back to a very cold London. While we swear no allegiance to this brand the experience here is quite phenomenal and very unexpected seeing what these phones can do. This is virtual reality at its best (so far). The Samsung Lab is apparently on an ongoing nationwide tour and offers a really wide range of immersive experiences the likes of which we have never seen before; in fact its actually quite a difficult one to describe other than three floors of interactive digital experiences ranging from the usual Oculus rift-goggle-type virtual reality, a digital catwalk and a three dimensional photographic experience.
Its been a fun few weeks New York.

Lucky Selectism, New York
The multitude of fantastic boutiques around New York are proving to be a Gold mine for us with so many interesting things to look at and share with you. This is another boutique which we've never come across (or maybe just not noticed previously) which has a fantastic retro feel to it with the use of these old style television sets and not an ounce of repro. in sight.

Casper, New York
We do love to come across these kinds of temporary or transitory spaces as they tend offer rather more ingenuity, inject a bit of fun and overall make the shopping experience just a lot more interesting. This installation is promoting Casper mattresses, a brand we had never come across had recently opened just off Broadway for the holiday period. A cardboard engineered space of a home interior inside this commercial space is a great bit of fun and the guys here are super welcoming.

Restoration Hardware, New York
If there is one thing that New York does well it has to be home ware. From ABC, Fishs Eddy and a multitude of brands we can only find in this city Restoration Hardware is up there with the places we like to visit as its always so beautifully orchestrated and their aesthetic is so luxuriously produced. With sofas the size of most London apartments and beds that could sleep the population of a small country, nothing here at this brand comes in miniature. While we prefer authentic rather than reproduction products per se this brand do get so much right (and the staff here are super friendly and helpful)

Alex Mill, New York
Stepping on and off the waggon already (yes we know its only the first day of a new year) although we have barely had a break for 365 days and no doubt wont for the next year ahead), we thought we would include this scheme at Alex Mill as while it has the usual references to Warhol's Pop Art, it does have an impact in its pyramidal format. Of course boutiques like this just have the big budgets for big schemes like big brands although we do wish they would move on from these slightly overused references.
