Hyundai Department store, South Korea

Images Courtesy and Copyright Prop studios

To celebrate the grand opening of the Hyundai Department store in Pangyo, South Korea, those clever guys at Prop studios have created this incredible installation based on the narrative 'Around the world in 80 days'.  To communicate the theatre of the fictional voyage, the team have included out sized props such as this incredible enormous Whale made of leather and fish encased in acrylic bubbles.  Beyond the usual, but amazing schemes at Bergdorf Goodman in New York, we rarely see such magnificent installations and how fantastic to view them happening beyond the usual VM hubs around the world.

Canadian High Commission, London

Celebrating the Queens 23,226 days as monarch or a staggering 63 years, it was great to see that the Canadian High Commission had picked this up as something to celebrate.  With such events being the kind of thing which we may never know again this was the only nod to this historic occasion which we could find here in the centre of it all.  If Simon Doonan had still been at Barney's we can imagine that he would have produced the most entertaining installation (albeit waspish) which we would have talked about for years.  Sadly no one else picked this up, so missed opportunity we guess but great to see Canada House have their fingers on the pulse of events.

Hogan, London

For such small windows this brand really do make an effort to present their products so creatively.  A large format graphic of the cityscape and models of skyscrapers together with illuminated traffic lights and 'don't walk' signage create an interesting narrative around their product.

Ermenegildo Zegna, London

Zegna is rocking a beautifully simple scheme right now for their latest installation which highlights their made to measure service.  Out sized shiny needles surround one of their beautiful jackets in front of a perfectly illuminated panel focusing the passers-by's view into the centre of the window.

Gina, London

A collage-style scheme with a mixture of product handling in a gravitational format and triangular and rectangular printed background punctuated with mannequin legs is the scheme at Gina right now.  We often pass this store but rarely capture it as they dont tend to change this windows very often, so this is a welcomed relief from what we normally see.

Tom Ford, London

This scheme possibly falls into the Colour Codes trend?.  The origins of colour in our world of manufactured pigment appears to have been forgotten as Colour is now mechanically made where once it had quite an aura and power to bring ancient stories alive.  Colour also has a wonderful provenance which was originally produced through laborious processes using natural materials and traditional methods and here at Tom Ford this fantastic powdered pigment encased in its Plexiglas case beams from their Sloane street store here in the centre of it all.

Harvey Nichols. London

We really have been drooling over this scheme since we saw it recently.  In true style this brand captures the vibe on the street so perfectly.  Collaborations are so key right now and this brand with its Tate Modern's EY exhibition, The World Goes Pop, is quite a corker.  To get a better view of this scheme do go and have a closer look yourself, otherwise just check out our video here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmAeOjTR3Cg

We imagine that this is a product-led scheme here at Fendi and how bright it all looks too.  We are scouting around Knightsbridge this week and we really do have some great installations to share with you, including the amazing new scheme at Harvey Nichols coming for you tomorrow.

Clarks, London

Wow Clarks is clearly under very creative leadership as this is the second super creative scheme we've seen from this brand.  OK, well this is probably the flagship store so of course its going to get the best of the best therefore if you have a local store you will no doubt see a rather watered down version of this scheme.  If this is the case just check out our video and drool.  Check it out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4YzM4RGj2Y

Joseph, London

Images Courtesy and Copyright Joseph

Focusing on their edit from their AW15 multi-brand luxury accessories, Joseph have launched a corker of a scheme which challenges the juxtaposition between Luxury and Mass production markets and highlights how luxury goods often cant be produced in an assembly line format.  Joseph's concept consists of motorised rolling conveyor belt to showcase their latest collection.  What a winner of a scheme from this delicious brand.

Banana Republic, London

Great to see another rocking scheme from Banana and presenting another sustainable scheme demonstrating that lavish schemes are not always necessary if the installation is produced with care and attention.  Of course, budgets are critical to these brands and their presentations and the bigger the better is always helpful although great to see the direction this brand have taken recently.
