Zara, London

This scheme may have moved on by now but we wanted to include it anyway as we loved the mannequins wigs / makeup here.  Not all Zara stores of course get the super creative treatment so it is a pleasure to find the odd one such as this one on the corner of Oxford street and Bond street.

DKNY, London

Just like everything else in the world brands appear to go round in cycles and what was once a really cool brand seems to have lost all hope these days?  Up until the year 2000 this brand was rocking the high street and it really was a pleasure to visit its store opposite Barney's in NYC and now we can barely give them a cursory glance.  We cant actually remember the last time we even went inside this store along Bond street its been that long.  This is not to say of course that the quality is not here in what they produce, but its just not very exciting.  And, just look at the security behind the product.  Really DKNY, really?

Tiffany, London

We have to admit that we have been struggling to think about what to say about this scheme.  We suppose it references either Wedgwood or maybe Lalique in the backdrop but apart from that it is quite ordinary?  Maybe a sprinkling of Gene Moore's genius is needed this time around?

John Lewis, London

Looks like 'Jean Louis' are going for the grunge, street, urban gritty look at the moment with their wooden palettes and denim props.  The scheme does ever so slightly whiff of awkward teenagers but if this was the intention then job well done we guess.  Great to see this brand aiming at a younger crowd of course and naturally they are exceptional as a brand but a bit more anarchy would always be welcomed.

Daks, London

Celebrating their 120th year in the biz, good old Daks its looking a whole lot better than some of the schemes we have seen here recently.  It was a little like it had lost its personality and just didn't know what to do with itself.  Well, this scheme is hitting a lot of the right notes (no pun intended) although this is clearly a non-fun zone, don't you think?  Do the wealthy clientele have a sense of humour and stand around in rooms like this all day?  Cu'mon guys lets get a bit of life into these schemes?

Asprey, London

If like us you do love a good old out sized prop then swing by Asprey and see their latest scheme.  Giant die and gambling chips support the gorgeous super luxury product in this scheme.  The beautifully stitched backdrop oozes that luxurious feel that this brand is synonymous with and works perfectly in its muted tones.  Great to see also that someone here nearly has a sense of humour too, well sort of.  Go on be a little more cheeky with those scrabble words, eh? Louis Vuitton, London

We did ever so slightly wince (not mince) when we saw this scheme initially although actually it is quite impressive.  Like a giant box of deliciousness the latest installation at good old LV of course is as exceptionally produced as ever in its installation.  We weren't immediately grabbed by it, probably as the contents of the inspiration that it came from were possibly rather less ordinary looking than the merchandise placed within the scheme (no matter how expensive it is) but we have to admit but we have warmed to it and it does actually photograph very well.

Anthropologie, London

We do adore the creativity that comes from this brand.  Even when they are Sale they look fantastic.  This scheme, using hand made butterflies en masse of course oozes their usual fantastic attitude superbly.  We aren't sure about the upside down coffin shaped frames although we're sure there is clever thinking behind it all.

Lagerfeld, London

Gone are the amazing stack of perfume bottles and now we are on to the next scheme at this brand new store.  We still haven't had the opportunity to pop in but we will shortly.  In the meantime, Black mannequins with cut letters spell the brand name and a White telephone box completes the stereotypical London references.  We're not holding out for amazing schemes at this brand (apparently Lagerfeld designed the mannequins at Chanel and we all know how disastrous they are with their little pin heads).  Still, so far, so good...ish.

Fenwick, London

With the pending Olivier Awards this weekend Fenwick have gone a bit 'old school' with their latest scheme to advertise their partnership with the event.  We haven't seen so much velvet used in schemes in a very long time and as their spaces are so huge, they really are quite dramatic.  That said, of course all the glamour of the event is captured in the scheme and if you want to have a look at some of the costumes which are 'up' for nomination including no less ones from Mama Mia then do swing by and take a look.  You may never see them again so best go before the event begins.

Hermes, London

The latest scheme at Hermes literally stopped us in our tracks this week.  How amazing does this miniature 'world' look?  What you cant view here is that within their windows are long rectangular boxes with port holes punctuating the centre of them.  Within the spaces are these beautifully illuminated seascapes complete with rocks, yachts and ships.  Really beautifully produced work.

Coast, London

Wow, isn't Coast looking hot?  These gorgeous humming birds in delicious colours are wrapped around the brands mannequins drawing the viewers eyes into and up around the space.  Naturally with the 'exotica' (or whatever one wishes to call it) trend happening across the luxury brands as we mentioned in our Parisian entries recently this scheme is right up to the moment.  Great to see this brand shining on the high street. Would someone sort of 'Juicy' next?
