Uniqlo, London

With a huge nod to Manga and celebrating the 50th Anniversary of 'Weekly Shonen Jump' (we guess you have to be in the know to understand the reference here) and, as collaborations are quite de rigeur right now this installations is quite on trend.  Great to see such a massive global phenomenon embracing a bit of Visual Merchandising too rather a generic roll-out.

Tory Burch, London

Mannequins and product swinging above the long grass is the scheme at Tory Burch right now.  We havent seen the use of swings in windows for quite some time (its not a particular favourite thing of ours) however as always a quality installation nonetheless.  Other than that there isn't much else we can comment on.

Ralph Lauren, London

How beautifully theatrical is this installation at Ralph Lauren right now?  With swathes of gorgeous fabric and a perfectly illuminated window scheme this brand looks so cool right now.  Collaborations are of course right on trend currently and of course this installation featuring the work of Gareth Monro Newman is beautifully executed.  Go and check out their Bond street store if you can.

Prada, London

Prada have really changed direction during 2018 with regards to their windows and at least for now their amazing colourful installations have been replaced with fantastic graphics on these illuminated 'blocks/plinths' where their product is so delicately presented.  We dont know what they are doing wherever you are in the world although if you want so see how-its-done then check out this brand.

Max Mara, London

We do love a great Max Mara scheme and as always, their wonderful style with a superb quality installation is their latest offering along Bond street.  With a big old nod to (we guess) Japanese screens in dramatic Black and White, this scheme look beautifully simple but we can bet there was a whole lot of work and investment of time to make it look this effortless.

Longchamp, London

We cant quite decide how we feel about this scheme at Longchamp.  We guess its just one of those schemes that has no actual meaning and slightly gap-filling before the next seasons merchandise arrives?  There is a slight whiff of photoshop about the scheme too as it is quite flat however, as we know the products of course are actually superb and maybe a product-led scheme would have given greater impact?  Anyway, its easy for us to shot-from-the-sidelines although we can only comment on what we all see.

Akris, London

This brands' windows always remind us of Isabel Marant in their quite minimal installations although in collaboration with various Artisans.  Their latest offering in conjunction with the Swiss fashion designer (who knew they actually had any?) Albert Kriemler and Architect Alexander Girard (who sadly passed away in 1993) demonstrates how these collaborations really do invigorate the high street and produce such interesting end results.

Zara, London

This is an interesting development at Zara, rocking more of the lifestyle-look right now at their Bond st/ Oxford St. store.  Normally this particular site tends to have a slightly different variation on their generic themes across their stores so we always make a bee-line here to see what they are doing.  Looking more like a young RL store than a global mid-range multiple it is rather refreshing to see something a bit different in their windows.

Chelsea in Bloom, London

We've been checking out the amazing Chelsea in Bloom event here in London this weekend and wow, how incredible are some of these installations?  Sadly these transient pieces will have gone by the time you read this but we wanted to share some of the spectacular installations at some of our favourite retailers across this part of town.  Wouldn't life just be so much nicer if everywhere looked this this?

Bel-Air Fine Arts, London

We came across this Gallery on our regular walkabouts and were quite impressed with their installation and of course it is still an example (of sorts) of retail store windows so we thought we would include it and share it with you.   This is a fairly new Gallery to London (opened in January this year) and currently features the work of some incredible artists; how amazing to work with some of the guys here to help invigorate the high street, eh?

Stradivarius, London

Stradivarius have been producing some great schemes this year and given their relatively small space this is quite remarkable.  With a kind of colour-by-numbers (although not exactly) scheme, beautifully drawn flora form the backdrop to this scheme.  Not exactly a product-led scheme but great none-the-less.

Moncler, London

If this doesn't bring a cheery smile to your face, what else will, eh?  Here a Moncler, the master of the prop in retail store windows have done it again.  With reference, we guess, to the 1986 American rock musical / comedy Little Shop of Horrors what great props and a fun narrative.  This brand is our absolutely favourite on the high street right now.

Dior, London

Just before the Royal Wedding recedes into memory, we're just slipping this one in at the last moment.  This mega-brand have yet again proved how good they are with another corking scheme at their Bond street site.  Everyone is going digital it seems and even historical brands such as this one are keeping up with the times and changing their content on a regular basis.  Great to see the old Union flag dropped in here too with a touch of confetti thrown in to celebrate last weekends' event.  But thats it though, no more Royal Wedding malarkey.
